"Mach die Verdammte Tür auf!" ("Open the damn door!"). This is what shouts the A320 Airbus captain of Condor his co-pilot Andreas Lubitz, locked in the cockpit, just minutes before the crash, according to the Sunday edition of German daily Bild .

During the first 20 minutes of the flight, exchanges are banal and brief between the two men. At 10:27, the pilot asked Andreas Lubitz prepare landing in Dusseldorf, and the latter replied: "I hope," "We'll see."
Then the pilot goes out to the toilet. A few minutes later we heard a "loud bang" and the pilot's voice that says, "For God's sake, open the door!" According to the German newspaper, is meant in the background passenger screams. and noises suggesting that the pilot tries to open the cockpit door with an ax. Then he yells: "Open the damn door!"
Seconds later added Bild-am-Sonntag, the aircraft crashed on the mountain at 700km / h, instantly killing its 144 passengers and 6 crew members.
A spokesman for Air Berlin confirmed that ax was well inside the plane, for safety. But according to aviation experts, the ax is normally found inside the cockpit, and the pilot may have been forced to use a crowbar or other blunt object to try to open in vain door Armored.
