1927 - 1927 (26.02) - ‘ Mazurek Dabrowskiego ’ (‘Poland Is Not Yet Lost’) officially becomes the country’s National Anthem. The lyrics were penned by Polish general, poet and politician Jozef Rufin Wybicki (1747 - 1822), just two years after The Third Partition of Poland removed the nation from the map.
