A lawyer is suing the City of New York and the FDNY for $20M after his records were destroyed in last week's massive Brooklyn warehouse fire.
Robert Vilensky filed the suit, saying that the fire department failed to douse embers from a fire at the mutli-story warehouse on Jan. 31, local television station NY1.com reports.
The warehouse was used for storage of medical and other personal records.
The suit claims that that sparked the second fire, which grew to seven alarms and took a week to contain.
Officials told the television station that they will review the claim.
