Lumos! J.K. Rowling sheds light on 3 Harry Potter mysteries
Just when we think we can't love J.K. Rowling more, she comes out of the woodwork (i.e., Twitter) and solves some of Harry Potter riddles that have been troubling us for years.
The Q&A was inspired by a question that recently popped up on tumblr asking why the Horcrux inside Harry wasn't destroyed when he was bitten by a Basilisk in Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets. As we know from the same book, Harry used the Basilisk venom from a fang to destroy Tom Riddle's diary, the second of seven horcruxes.
Lucky for us, the author decided to oblige her fans on her Twitter page with a little trivia about her perfectly constructed magical universe.
So, J.K. Rowling, what gives?
Remember Fluffy, Hagrid's huge, three-headed pal?
There's also the question of why the mysterious Black residence turned Order of the Phoenix HQ is in the middle of muggle territory.
And just like that, she was gone.
And our minds are blown.
