Techcrunch: Brewing Bitcoin Battle- Link to Techcrunch Story

I have no personal financial interest in bitcoins but I find it a fascinating story. It shows how our culture has technologically developed in all sorts of novel and unexpected ways.

Sometimes the bitcoin phenomenon makes me think like Stephen Hawking that eventually our technology ( and AI) will destroy humanity. Let's hope not.

A lot would depend on what drives so much: MONEY. ( As I write this, think of how Amazon, Facebook and Google have come to dominate the internet world --they have competitors, it is true, and people are always predicting the imminent demise of Facebook especially--
