There's more to November than Thanksgiving, so instead of spending
the whole month counting down the days until you can stuff your face,
start stuffing your
month right now -- with all kinds of awesome things, including a few where you’ll be... stuffing your face.
Take your now useless
jack-o'-lanterns/homemade pumpkin kegs to either Clement Clarke Moore
Park or Sunnyside Greenmarket. You smash and the city cleans -- it’s
perfect.

New menus all over the damn place
There’s just a crap
load of fall menus that you need to go try: the po' boy and octopus BLT
at Black Crescent, the Dandy Onassis (Applejack, Wolfamer Orange, apple
liqueur, apple butter, cinnamon) at Maison Premiere, a burger made with
beignets at Bo’s, plus everything at Experimental Cocktail Club.
An entire week dedicated to Champagne may not actually be out of the ordinary for you, but this one is way more organized, with events like a Champagne cocktail competition and a Bubble Bash.
In case you didn’t guess from the name, it’s Saved by the Bell in musical form, and you can see it pretty much any weekend in November.
Over a hundred fries from alllllllll around the city on display. It’s basically heaven, but greasier.
Run around and drink a
lot of beer, basically. Now in its 8th year, the run has live music,
eats, and beer from Kona, Flying Dog, Bronx Brewery, Abita, and more.
Small bites and more
than 250 wines will be on hand at this artisanal food festival that's
taking over 22,000sqft in Sunset Park.

Watch as one man
tries to saber more than 47 bottles (the current record) of Champagne
while you... just sit there drinking Champagne. It’s on.
The red and white
huts that draw swarms of people in Union Square are back today -- get
there and get your Xmas shopping out of the way ASAP. Bonus: bring a
flask and find the gluhwein station. You won’t regret it.
Get on the Hornblower
Infinity Cruise Ship and sample goods from more than 25 distilleries
and wineries while you check out the views and get down with a live jazz
quartet.
The Holiday Train
show gets boozier on weekends this winter when you head up there for
cocktails, ice carving, jazz, spiked cocoa, and roasted chestnuts. Yep,
it’s roasted chestnut season.
Leave room for
not-turkey-stuffing-sandwiches on this sampling crawl across cultures,
which includes the "Jewish East Side, Little Italy, and Chinatown".
Sure, pizza is
delicious with everything, but you may as well learn what pairs with it
the best. Get to this class that’ll teach you the best wine to go with
three different types of 'za.
