Young man becomes Ireland's latest Lotto millionaire with €6m scoop
Published 11/08/2014 | 16:35
A young man, possibly from Kilkenny, has
become Ireland’s latest Lotto millionaire after scooping a whopping €6m
prize.
“It feels like I’m having an out of body of experience,” he said today.
“I always said I’d win the Lotto one day, but I didn’t really believe it would happen, and certainly not this soon – it’s unbelievable”.
The man, who collected a cheque for €5,935,632, won the jackpot last Wednesday after he bought his Lotto Quick Pick ticket in the Spar/Esso in Irishtown, Kilkenny. He wished to remain private.
“It couldn’t have happened to a better lad – he deserves all the happiness in the world”, said the winner’s mother.
