There will never be peace in the Middle East because of one Religious misbelief. The land of Moses is also the land of Pinocchio. As long as the lie of Moses, the Bible, will continue to make people believe the existence of one chosen Jewish people with privileges beyond those of other populations there will be no peace. Israel was a concept before it became a State and today is a State like no other. In fact it is the only Country in the World that has never defined its borders since its Declaration of Independence and now is ready to expand its territory through the use of any means. @peace4all You are saying "Defend themeself" but these rockets actually fired already 14 years on civilians, not on the army. Actually Israel as honored cease fire at least 4 times during the last fighting which Hamas has never respected. Israel trying it's best not to hurt civilians and keep giving aid (food, drugs...etc) to Gaza civilians during the war. Hamas shoots from inside hospitals and schools , do you think this is on purpose or just because they didn't find any other place to shoot from ?

@peace4all What you are saying is partly right, IMHO. The Palestinians/Hamas and the likes have no way to fight the IDF in any other way. Sadly, that puts their civilian populations on the front lines. It is that public that should work hard to avoid conflict and to try and normalize relationships with its neighbors, Israel and Egypt. Now, with respect to your two last sentences: That is a very brief and misleading description of history. You are neglecting to mention anything about the Jewish (national, not just religious) history in the land. Moreover, you are leaving out the UN agreements, partition plans and peaceful resolutions that the people and state of Israel have happily agreed to, which were rejected by Arabs one after another. Last, you are incorrect in your description that those who came to what is today Israel. At first, those arriving were holocaust survivors who were largely secular and wanted to escape the horrors of Europe and to return to their historical motherland. Later, Jewish citizens of Arab countries who could no longer feel safe at their countries had to run away, leave all of their possessions and find their home in the Jewish state. Anyways - Peace for all.

How wide is the Gaza? How much space Israel occupied and left for Gaza, just hardly less than 2 KM wide, Its densely populated, from wherever they shoots rockets happens to be small plot of area available. Peoples fighting an Army of 85000 in there area without M80 tanks and No F16, Don't expect much, See the rocket launchers made from Small sheet and angle locally to defend the regular pounding of Gaza on one pretext or other 5000 times in last 8 years. Tell Honestly How they should defend? or they should let themselves to be killed without resistance, its against human tendency not to resists aggression who forcefully forced those are leaving for centuries on those lands. for those who arrived from all over the world in the name of religion..

The French will always be the French; and part of that is anti-semitism and the remnant of the Vichy French heritage. Let's remember that it was the Palestinians who elected Hamas who in their charter call for the elimination of Jews, (where were you on that?), it was Hamas that abducted and killed three children (where were you on that?), It was Hamas that initiated this whole thing by first firing rockets indiscriminately all over Israel (where were your voices on that?), it was Hamas that fired their rockets adjacent to schools and stored their rockets in 3 UN schools: adjacent to hotels, from densely populated neighborhoods and refugee camps while these brave fighters and leaders hid deep in the bowels of the earth (where are your voices on that?). It is Hamas that just the other day arrested protesting Gazans that faced off with one of Hamas' spokesmen at the Shifa hosipital, it is Hamas and not the Israelis that censor video and news reporting out of Gaza (where is your voice on that?). If you want express your moral outrage do not neglect the people that started this battle andf their depraved and immoral conduct and lies. Otherwise, you abet their actions.

Neither Britain nor any other civilised part of the world, as a matter of domestic and/or foreign policy, can tolerate being held hostage to the principles of proportional response that enable the likes of Hamas and Hezbollah and ISIS et al, to cynically and ruthlessly abuse those principles, so that they may, with impunity, and too often with UN support, conduct the Lawfare that destroys any rational meaning that the law, international and or otherwise, is intended to have, with regard to securing the rights and human rights, of the civilised peoples of the world. By adopting her position, Sayeeda Warsi, has signed up to be one of Hamas' willing foot-soldiers. She should give that some long and hard thought.
