@Ray Veysey He may not be a socialist, but he is a keynsian, and the tragic part is he's entirely right. How did anyone as dumb as Hollande ever become president? Sarkozy must have been a real piece of work. Montebourg should be president, at least for the economy.

This "inversion" scam to avoid paying U.S. taxes is going to back fire miserably on BK. A good number of citizens are looking for an excuse to avoid this awful food in the first place so a boycott will probably fall into place pretty easily. I hope Canadians can eat a lot of BK gut bombs or the company will be in trouble early on.

The tunnels that Israel destroyed are the ones leading into Israel. They were built by the Gazans for the sole purpose of terrorism.

If it was opposite - a Muslim converting to Judaism aspecially in a muslim country - they bouth would be dead and all that according to muslim low. Converting from Islam is punished with death and most Muslims actually support that barbaric idea.

Middle east - 'Lasting' ceasefire agreed for Gaza, Abbas says

From the information released up to now, the terms of this cease-fire are almost identical to those of the first Egyptian proposal. Hamas rejected that proposal, but now they agree and call it a "victory"? Why have they changed their position? Why have they inflicted so much suffering on the population in Gaza, including the public execution of some 18 alleged "informers"? Hamas and the other terrorist groups in Gaza must be separated from any weapons so that other Gazans can live a normal life.

Are you sure this guy is a socialist? that's the most sense I have seen from a socialist in many years. Maybe this is the guy who should create a French version of UKIP (FIP?) a rational opposition to the FN a lot of whom's votes come from anti EU voters seeing nowhere else to go.

In a stagnant economy, when industry is playing it close to the vest and not spending on expansion or development, government needs to play a significant role. Investments in roads, bridges, sea ports, air ports, health research and a host of other needed improvements can provide well paying jobs that have a ripple effect on the entire economic outlook. International corporations are slinking around trying to hide income and they must be assessed reasonable taxes to assist the nations that they prey on.

France - France’s Hollande orders cabinet reshuffle amid economy row

If there is a problem with Germany overview of finance, why they have such good economy? I think that is more good idea to follow the leader that know better the difference between a good perfume and a night in a hotel versus a Mercedes Benz. I think that a more rational thinking will help your country to move forward and less promotion of pleasure.

Middle east - Iran 'shoots down Israeli spy drone'

This is a dangerously provocative attempt. Does this mean nuclear sites are target now. Will Hamas and Iran target Israeli nuclear sites too? International community must steadfastly condemn such provocative mindless attempt. Best still is to force through at the UN a nuclear free Middle East as it seems there is no limits to mans foolish desire to gain control at any cost!

France - French teenage girls held over Syria jihad plans

These are children. For them the rules are different, but for adults, in my opinion, no one has the right to prevent a person of faith from following his or her conscience. They have the right to go. France has the right to say that if they go they can NEVER come back.

Middle east - Rockets from Syria fired into Israeli-held Golan Heights, army says

ISIS already has spilled over from Syria and taken over one town in Lebanon. Hezbollah or some other terror group may be responsible for the rockets. Iran, through Hezbollah, is aiding Hamas. The Iranians were instrumental in designing the terror tunnels going into Israel. They may have built tunnels going into Northern Israel as well. Could Iran be instigating hostilities by their proxies to distract the world from their nuclear program?? Will the US and allies get their act together to stop the terrorists?
