Back in January, John Dickerson wrote that Chris Christie’s presidential hopes hinged on how he addressed his role in the bridge-closing scandal. Well, last night he addressed it in a fairly unorthodox way: by poking fun of his soreness on the subject during the “Evolution of Dad Dancing,” the latest of Jimmy Fallon’s “Evolution of Dance” segments (he’s previously taken on hip-hop with Will Smith, end-zone moves with Justin Timberlake, and, of course, mom dancing with Michelle Obama).

Whatever you think of that move, Christie’s other moves were rather unexpectedly better than Fallon’s. Though perhaps that shouldn’t be surprising, given that Fallon’s only been a dad for a year. Christie has had a lot more time to practice.
