If you’re like me, you’re one of the many people who are pleasantly
entangled in all of the twist and turns of the HBO crime drama True Detective.
Raspy, morose, and Southern-braised monologues are delivered in large
quantities hour after hour. Wouldn’t it be nice to take a respite and
let the sun shine in?
Fear not. Take a gander at some footage of Manly Moondog (much better known as Emmy-Award winning actor Woody Harrelson) and the Three Kool Kats. Not much information is available about Woody’s old jam band, and we’re still in the dark about the origins of this footage. What we do know is that it existed some time near the end of the Cheers era and that he sometimes used it as a platform to lightly coax activism and awareness from young people (much to the surprise of some concertgoers, evidenced in this 1991 LA Times article).

However, the one thing that can’t be denied are those dulcet falsetto tones. I only wonder what Rust Cohle would think of it. (HT @natashavc for flagging.)
