Roy Eisenstein-- and Eyezenmedia-- fresh, moving, -- also clever and often hilarious-- videos and songs

I had the good fortune to stumble onto Roy Eisenstein on Facebook a couple of years ago while reading his response to someone else and liked what he wrote so much I sent him a friend request

He is a very feisty guy, I like his politics and his style and his "take on all comers" attitude in discussions which he says he gets from learning how to fight on the streets of Brooklyn ( Canarsie) while growing up...

He also served with distinction in Vietnam and therefore knows what he is talking about when it comes to the topic of military interventions and what's involved

He has traveled widely and is not only extremely intelligent and well read but also compassionate and stubborn as a pit bull when it comes to defending sanity against the current "greed is good" and apostles of selfishness...as he says, just what Americans need , to be told they should be more selfish

I do not always agree with him, but hey, he is a good guy and I am always looking forward to see what he will post on Facebook next ( videos, links, his own artwork, photos, etc.)

He is yet another gifted writer whom I am trying to entice to give me a submission for this blog on what got him started as a writer and what ideas he most wants to get across ( ideas are important and often overlooked a lot, most often-- and this is peculiar-- in printed interviews, where writers are asked how much time a day they devote to writing and the Process of it as they experience it

Rapport (or lack of which) between Dr. and nurse ( Chinese but whom he keeps insisting is Korean to audience) is something else

There are also two other favorites of mine, "Escape" and " She is What She Is" ( both monlogues by gifted actors shot on the spooky night time "Film Noir" streets of L.A.)

Finally, there is just this very short bit of Roy talking about his own work, way too short as far as I am concerned...( don't worry, I will keep nagging him to divulge something more though I have noticed some writers almost seem to feel like it's bad luck to tell too much about the inner workings of what they do)

Roy Eisenstein an accomplished and prolific director, writer, and actor was born and raised in Brooklyn New York. Roy moved to California where he studied Directing and Method Acting techniques for many years. He worked not only as an actor in television and films, but also professionally performed stand-up, improvisation and sketch comedy as well. Roy Eisenstein is a television director and a decade long member of the prestigious Directors Guild of America, (DGA). He has directed such notable shows and projects as Spy TV on NBC, Scare Tactics on the SciFy Network, Trigger Happy TV for Comedy Central and The Pet Shop with Andy Kindler on Animal Planet to name a few. Roy also co-wrote and produced the late-night comedy show, The City Dogs which ran at the Tamarind Theatre in Hollywood to great reviews and audience response. His talent was acknowledged as LA Weekly Pick of the Week. He also directed and has had sketches in OPM's stage productions in LA, San Francisco and Vancouver, British Columbia. He has worked with a number of well-known actors and comedians in Hollywood both for stage and television. Roy wrote, produced and directed numerous video pieces that premiered in such film festivals as The Mill Valley Film Festival, a major San Francisco Bay Area venue, and The Dallas Film Festival in Texas.
