Hammarskjold Plaza links Second and First Avenues and is the kind of open space near a river that can be really breezy on a chilly November day.
It is so completely different when they have their greenmarket here--or when people are protesting something at the U.N.
They have done their best to make it palatable with artwork displays and decorative touches and their is a little cafe, "Dag", on it.
Also the Japan Society, which has had some wonderful exhibits...
