Raffles Bistro - Reviews from Trip Advisor

Just for a change of pace, going to use reviews other than Yelp this time.

Yet when I compared them, it was pretty much the same thing. Some people really liked it and other people said it was overpriced or that there was something wrong with the food.

“Great little Bistro”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed February 19, 2013
This is a great little bistro right on Lexington and 47th. The service was very, very good and the food is wonderful. They are pricey but the quality of the food was worth it. The ambiance, service, and food was very good. I had breakfast there 3 days in a row as they are right down from where I was staying and I was never disappointed. Make sure to have cash because they do not accept credit cards!

“Crowded and over priced breakfast place”
3 of 5 stars Reviewed February 18, 2013 via mobile
They try their best to do a lot in a small space. A bit expensive for breakfast. Service is fast and friendly. Stayed at Lexington Hotel and breakfast was included with the room. Hence 3 meals here. One was cold. All were average. Coffee not good, but Starbucks next door

“Great food & reasonable price”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed February 14, 2013
Great food! My Mother & I stopped there for dinner one night, I had the spinach ravioli and they were the best I've ever had, cooked al dente just how I like them. Disappointed that we could not get a mixed drink.

“Great diner for breakfast”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 28, 2013 via mobile
Fantastic place to go for breakfast. They have a great menu from eggs any style, waffles, pancakes. Everything American, it's delicious :)
It's on the corner of Lexington hotel and on Lexington avenue.
It's reasonable as well

“Incredible Staff”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed January 24, 2013
Well, it's been months since I have returned home from NYC but I still have Raffles on my mind! I happened to be in NYC during Hurricane Sandy. Anyone that was there during that time, knows most franchises were closed before the storm even hit. After the storm many other restaurants closed, and hotels were only allowing the guests staying with them to eat in their restaurants. Sadly for us, ours didn't have one. So we wandered around trying to find a place that was open. Lucky for us, Raffles was! I think we ended up dining here 3 times. Each time we had great food and outstanding service. My husband and I were amazed at how the staff handled themselves in such difficult circumstances. Some staff hadn't even been home in days, the place was so busy, but they still treated each customer with a smile and gave great service. Our food was excellent and I was happy to pay $22 for a steak or salmon dinner. Everything about our experience here was positive. To the people that complain that they were out of scampi, shame on you! Being a native New Yorker I would think that you'd be aware that food delivery was halted with roads & bridges closed and gas shortages. The staff here did better than I saw at any other restaurant. Thanks for staying open so we had somewhere to eat!
