Denver, PAI love the sweet and spicy wings. I can't get enough of it. The last time I was in Koreatown, we went to both KyoChon and BonChon. I wasn't really a fan of BonChon. It was a bit bland for me. And before heading home, we made sure we stopped at Kyochon to get some more wings.
Again I recommend the sweet and spicy wings and with the garlic sauce.
This time when I visited, I made sure I got plenty of wings. I ordered 40. :) -

New York, NYWell, unfortunately, it was not what I expected. I love fried chicken and theirs was not the worst for sure but it is not worth what they are charging.
The service was very attentive but the people working there kind of scared all of us. They were like ninjas. Came out of nowhere and stood behind you and got the order wrong 5 times straight kind of deal but smiled and nodded very well.
I went with 2 other friends. We ordered the Sample #3 to try the variety, the pickled radishes (its not korean fried chicken without the radishes), and a chicken salad with a soy dressing. The best part of the meal were the potato wedges...
The Sample #3 is about $30. It comes with 10 wings in pairs of 5 flavors, potato wedges, and a "chicken steak". Ok. The wing platter is the size of a whole 16" pizza pie with 10 tiny little wings sitting inside of it. Seriously? Fill the damn platter or use a smaller plate. Don't turn me on with the visuals of a big plate to see tiny little wings on them. The chicken steak was overcooked and drenched in what seemed like a lighter teriyaki sauce sitting on top of onions and peppers. Meh. The potato wedges were great. Crunchy and delicious. I mean if they ****ed up the potato wedges I'd sue them for wasting my time. The pickled radishes, which are traditionally square, were sliced thin in rounds and folded over. They were good and not too expensive so I didn't mind. There were more radishes than wings though... that's some F.U.S.
So overall, the space was nice and decent to hangout in. It's just way overpriced for what it is and I would probably not go back there by choice. I hear McDonalds sells wings now? Maybe I'll see if those are better.
KFC Hot Wings rule them all BTW. -

The place looks nice and trendy. They have a convenient take-out counter downstairs or you could dine-in upstairs. Service at the take-out counter is decent but slow. Service at the dine-in is pretty slow and unaccommodating.
Price? Overpriced. Slightly more expensive than the BonChon next door.
Quality? Not that great. It's hard to screw up some fried chicken. But there are still a lot of things that this place could do to make their chicken taste better. -

If you are visiting New York, you might want to check out this place just for the way it looks. The food is okay, nothing that makes you want to scream for joy about. The chicken was dry. You are paying more for how the place looks rather than the quality of food. The chicken was dry. I came here with 7 girls and out of all of us, maybe 2 of us enjoyed our food. Everything else was just...ok. By the way, did I tell you, the chicken was dry?
The place look really nice and was rather busy on a week night. But still we had no problem getting seated for the 7 of us on a busy night and didnt have to wait in line either. Our waiter never checked up on us and our food took a while to arrive. But I'm sure it had to do with it being busy.
If I were to rate this place on looks alone, I'd give it a 4 star. But if I rate is on food alone, I'd give it a 2 star. So in average, I give this place a 3 star.

Manhattan, NYSoy wings, honey mustard, what the fu** just get the sampler plate and try it all. This place has yet to fail me. I typically do the 'hit and quit' way. Step in, order @ the counter, gurb at the closest table then bounce. There's no shame walk here just delicious and curiously-perfectly fried chicken. The skin kind of floats and coats the meat in this magical way.
Only at in once and had no issue there, unlike other yelpers. Although you will feel compelled to watch all the K-Pop screens all over the place instead of actually engaging with who's sitting next to you.
K-POP meets K-WINGS, trust me, things aren't that bad.

I am a chicken wing snob. A good chicken wing consists of a crunchy skin overlaying juicy, flavorful meat. A good chicken wing is well-seasoned. A good chicken wing is elevated by a well-balanced coating of sauce, not overwhelmed by it. In all of New York City, there are only a handful of places that make a good chicken wing and KyoChon is one of those few.
I don't remember much about the place outside of the chicken. I vaguely remember some table gismo that offers a unique ordering experience. I remember that my coworkers and I were seated upstairs in a very sterile white room. I remember there were music videos playing on the wall. Outside of those limited details, I remember only two things: 1) the chicken, specifically their version of the classic hot wing, was amazing and 2) the pickled radishes were divine. My mouth waters just thinking about that meal.
I want to tell you more about the chicken. I want to explain to you just how delicious it was. I want to share details about how satisfied I was with the meal. I want to describe how I could not stop eating these wings, even as my stomach expanded to the point of overeating, because my tastebuds took control of my being. I want to yell, stomp and scream until you get the picture that these wings are well worth your time and effort...
But I won't, because that would just be weird. -

Brooklyn, NYMy sisters and I have talked about doing a side by side taste test with BonChon and KyoChon.
Winner? KyoChon!!! Maybe it's just this particular BonChon and this particular KyoChon but I was LOVING the KyoChon way way more. Normally, I like the crispiness of BonChon more but the KyoChon flavor was on point. My mind has been decided. I am now KyoChon4Lyfe. -

CONS:
- EXPENSIVE $8.15 FOR A SANDWICH.
- BAD SERVICE: Made me WAIT for 30 minutes for the kyo chon sandwich. I paid for the sandwich at 1:28 and sat for 20 something minutes before I realized my sandwich still hasn't come. I had noticed everyone else who had ordered after me already getting their or had finished eating so I was like what is up with my sandwich....I had to walk up and ask what happened to my sandwich and everyone gave me blank stares as if they had no F**** idea where it was. Apparently no one made it and my order just went unnoticed. Kyo Chon has to up their game. I have work and my lunch break was almost up after spending the better half of my lunch break waiting for the sandwich. Sure they apologized and said a simple sorry but that didn't cut it for me. The least they could have done was like given me a free soda or something. What is the point of the VIBRATING SQUARE that informs you when your order is ready when it DOESN'T EVEN WORK!! The employees must have fallen asleep on the job or something when they are unable to kept track of peoples' orders.

- After the long wait the SANDWICH had better be good and it wasn't even that great truth to be told. It was a messy sandwich that caused the sauce to drip all over the place when you eat it. I had ordered the sandwich with thigh and mango sauce with BACON. But where is the BACON???!!. It was a tad bit spicy however I thought the thigh meat was too salty - definitely marinated the thigh meat for too long.
I don't think I'll be coming back here again.... I have had their soy garlic chicken wings/ drumsticks and it was alright. With this kind of service I can definitely skip their wings and head on over to BON CHON which taste almost the same and better than Kyo Chon.

Brooklyn, NYThe food was pricey for the cost of fried chicken. The soy garlic sauce is way better than Bon Chon however I still prefer Bon Chon chicken over Kyochon. The menu is more expensive then Bon Chon and the seating is very small.
Theres a call button at every table when your ready to order or need any other assistant. Staff is friendly. -

New York, NYThe honey wings were good but I did not like the signature wings. They were dry and the sauces did not help. They have a nice set up here- white walls and there is a large screen television where they play k pop music videos. I only been here once but will drop by again if I am craving their honey wings. This place is very clean and trendy. Not the best wings but they do have a nice vibe. The staffs and service here are okay. -

Manhattan, NYWe had a res. for a very large group. Seated all along both sides of the "bar" upstairs. It's not the most convenient setting and forces people to get up, but it's friendly and there's enough space for people to move around comfortably.
The chicken was a little...bland, if not for the sauce. I liked the sweet soy, but as someone who only eats medium spice, the spicy was kind of killer. Numbing.
Service is awesome and accommodating- pretty organized, and as more people arrived, they brought us extra chairs quickly. -

I guess how this restaurant is reviewed depends on how one chooses dining option.
1. For here or to go: Honestly I rarely eat Korean-style chicken at the site unless it is a gathering with beer and stuff. In case you didn't know, chicken works with beer pretty well. So while most korean places are really not service-oriented you wouldn't need to deal with it if you take it out.
2. Menu: I always had garlic/soy marinated chicken and I always stuck by it. Never order anything else. It's like you never order seafood at a Korean all you can eat bbq places. This is how they made their name for it in Korea originally, and there is a good chance other dishes may not have followed suit.
3. Price: Well, it's manhattan, and you get ripped off everywhere. So I wouldn't complain much if I am really feeling for the chicken.
So that's my take. I have no issue with their service, and their original chicken is tasty. and that's how I grade them.Listed in: Want some Korean food at 32nd…
