Ah, the Joyous Hidden Hot Spots of Far East Midtown

Right in the middle of Manhattan's East Side flood zone, the Asser Levy pool area ( above) is now undergoing reconstruction...surely one of Manhattan's hidden gems...

 And right nearby, of course, is glamorous Peter Cooper Village, where back when Stuy Town had no A/C in the summer, Peter Cooper DID, --so, as one woman I knew who lived in Peter Cooper and was wed to a guy from Stuy Town noted, " He married me for my air conditioning."

Can't imagine a more pleasant ramble on a grey November day..especially with the scenic VA Hospital as backdrop to the East...
