    5 golden stars!

Like all other healthy stores, this gem is 10 steps forward.
I don't need to give you the shpeel of all the healthy, vegan, organic food they have here (but, they do have a wider selection that other stores in the area)

here are the unique things about this place:
    vegan ravioli
bigger deli with more variety of hot foods to go
more packaged cold foods to go
vegan, low-cal cheesecake and chocolate mousse cake
larger variety of teas for different ailments
    healthy organic baby food

I wish they had a customer rewards system bc I know id rack up points quickly!

    im definitely a "Health Nut"!

For looking like such a small store, this place really takes advantage of their space to pack a ton of products. I personally came here to get Justin's Almond butter (which, if you haven't tried, I highly recommend), but they also have a ton of different varieties of different butters, juices, vitamins, interesting chocolates, etc.
Talking to the guy at the front cashier, he informed me and my friend a lot about different healthy products (quinoa, flax seed, chia seeds) and how we could potentially use them. Also, he told us during lunch they have a food bar as well that is quite popular.
Highly recommended, and I'll definitely be going back here for any almond butter or health-related products.

This little health store is a gem! The prices are great for the locale - other health stores in the area are far more rough on the wallet - and there is a large variety of fresh produce, health supplements, foods and a small buffet and juice bar.
It can get busy at times but for the most part shopping here is an easy experience.
    Highly recommended!

I love this place - their lunch bar and soups are amazing. They also have a great selection of groceries - fresh grind peanut butter, lots of raw desserts and vegan options everywhere! I highly recommend stopping in here if you are looking for healthy lunch options.

I walked in here for the first time this morning after working in Midtown for a little over a month and scouring Yelp for healthy food options. I had just come from an intense pool workout and was looking primarily for a vegan protein replenish drink via a green juice or smoothie.

As I entered the store, I noticed that they carried the 29oz cannister of Genuine Health Vegan Proteins +, which I've been looking for for a while after trying several terrible pea protein supplements and realizing the rice protein I was drinking on a daily basis was probably GMO. The owner (?) saw me eyeing the product and immediately came up to me and said he'd give me 40% off, which knocked the price down from $60 to $36! That's cheaper than what I can get on Vitacost, and I have it at my desk now!

I went to the back of the store to peruse the smoothie options and immediately found a frozen banana, peanut butter, cacao and almond milk option. This has the perfect mix of naturally occurring sugars and protein that I look for after a workout, and it's vegan! And only $6 for 16 oz!

I will definitely be coming back here again for salads, smoothies and the vegan hot bar. I highly recommend browsing around! It's a great option for health-conscious individuals in the Midtown East area. I wish I had gone earlier!!

Great selection, LOTS of vegan dairy alternates and they accept SNAP. The staff isn't the friendliest but not rude.

Tired of Just Salad and Dig Inn, I decided to venture out and try THN for lunch during the week.

Hidden in the back of the tiny health grocery store is the hot food section. It's all vegan from what I can tell and it's a serviced buffet type of thing. You can eat your food along the tables in the back, but most people take their food to go.

I tried the mashed potatoes, hot quinoa, and veggies and tofu dishes. They weigh your little carton of food, which is about a third of the size of a Dig Inn large try, and it came out to over $8 !@#$% It was good, but for that price and for that little food, I will probably not return.

They also have prepackaged cold sandwiches/noodles/wraps so I might try one of these next time, but this place is outrageously overpriced. I think it might actually be more expensive than Whole Foods hot bar, if that's even possible.

Blown away by the variety and how organized this place is. I walked in and asked for something specific. In a shop of a thousand tiny bottles, everyone who worked there pointed me to the exact location. The staff was friendly and I had a great experience. They even have little tiny plastic bags for your little purchase. Love.

I've been going here for several years now and it's a wonderful health food market! Staff is super knowledgeable and friendly, it's always well stocked with healthy pantry staples.

Be sure to try the juice and hot food bar..great deals and taste!

This place is great!  Went in for the first time today to buy probiotics and I was pleasantly surprised that it was a huge store with tons of stuff.  I live in Queens and was expecting The Health Nuts' prices to be higher than my neighborhood health food store, but it was actually about the same and some things looked even a bit cheaper.

I got a green juice while I was in there, and the hot food bar looked really good.  It was really busy and a bit cramped, but it was 1pm on a weekday, so it would be weird if it wasn't.

I had a positive experience even before setting foot in the store with Health Nuts.  My friend needed a particular iron supplement and I called Health Nuts to ask them to check if they had it.  The gentleman who answered the phone was super nice and put up with me as I asked him about the brand, the mg dosage etc.

Walking into The Health Nuts, things are deceiving at first.  There's a counter with tons of supplements, soaps and other small items near it and then it leads to two narrow aisles where they have everything from fresh ground peanut butter to produce.  One section had freshly made Vegan sweets, which was just the thing I thought I'd find here.

What I didn't expect to find was in the back: a whole prepared and frozen foods section!  There was a counter where clearly their primary business is done at lunch.  It looks like they had soups, prepared salads and other dishes (most of which were gone by 5pm when I visited). There was a seating area off to the side near the aisle of frozen vegetarian fare.  It was quite an impressive variety, not just veggie burgers but complete dishes (Italian, Indian etc.).  There was also a section for "green" cleaning products which was a nice sight to see.

We picked up the supplements and headed out.  My friend said the price on the supplements were fair, which was nice to hear given its midtown location.

I enjoyed The Health Nuts visit and appreciate
    • Organic vegetables
    • Fresh ground peanut butter
    • Cleaning supplies

I come here for the juice. The man behind the counter is extremely friendly and cheerful. I think he might be the owner. The juices there are great. The veggies/fruits that are included are spinach, kale, swiss chard (?), celery, beets, carrots, apple, pear, lemon, and orange (I might've left out a couple). It's a pretty decent value. They also have plenty of gluten-free products available. They also serve lunch (sushi, noodles) which I've been meaning to try.

My review is for the juice bar.

My fiance and I love fresh, organic vegetable juice.

Price wise you get 16 ounces of freshly pressed, made to order juice for $5.99.

    Love it!

They have lot's of other stuff too but we'll definitely be back for the juice.

I go to Health Nuts for lunch when I am in the city. They have a vegan pay-by-the-pound section in the back where you can get all kinds of healthy food. And guess what? It's good! They also have soups and desserts as well. Every time I go, they have something different.

The price is a little high, but not too bad.
