Review from Evan R.
I have not had food this good since India. As far as I am concerned this is by far the most professionally managed Indian restaurant on Curry Hill.
I have just had their Lunch Special, I had the Paneer Tikka Masala, I asked for it to be hot - spicy and SURPRISE it was. The Lunch Special is $9.00 and comes with unlimited naan, daal and rice. The naan was extraordinary. Lunch was a litle slow in coming out, but it was well worth the wait.
If you want the special, one word of caution, I ordered a lassi - not thinking -it was $4.00 - so it kind of blew my budget conscious lunch. Next time I will stick with the tap water, which is great tasting and served the right way - no ice - room temperature. -

Bayside, NYDishes I have tried:
a) Chicken biryani (~$14)
b) lunch Chicken Tikka Masala ($10)
Pros:
- Restaurant is clean and well decorated
Cons:
a) Chicken biryani had chunks of white chicken meat, which wasn't marinated inside. It was basically dry, tasteless chicken breasts people eat for dieting and body building.
b) Lunch special chicken tikka masala had a ridiculous proportion. It had 4 small pieces of chicken. Each piece was smaller than the fork. When confronted, the waiter pointed out the unlimited naan, daal, and rice, but i would much rather go a nearby lunch buffet indian restaurant for the same price.
- I think they were cooking onions in the kitchen. Everyone at my table, the closest one to the kitchen, was about to cry because of the air.
- Although the place was almost empty, it took too long to get the waiter's attention and get the check.
Summary:
Based on two visits, both the proportion and the taste of food here were far worse than many other restaurants nearby. And this venue is not on the cheaper side compared to others. I won't come back.Comment from Paradise B. of Paradise Biryani Pointe 8/9/2013I'm glad that you enjoyed our decor, but very disappointed… More » -

New York, NYWas excited to see it open on Lex as I had liked the food at their Edison branch. Went there early on a Friday evening and it wasn't very crowded. The service was great, our server was attentive and polite (not something you take for granted at some of the other Indian restaurants in the area).
Ordered chicken 65 and goat biryani. Chicken 65 tasted good but was served warm instead of hot. Biryani - Taste was great as expected, but there were barely 5-6 pieces of goat meat and the curry served with the biryani seemed to be mostly oil. Personally, as a comparison, I think Dhaba biryani might be a couple points less in taste but makes up for it in quantity and meat portions.
Will definitely be giving this place another chance to check if it can match up to its other branch.Comment from Paradise B. of Paradise Biryani Pointe 8/26/2013It's great to hear that you were blown away by our service,… More » -

New York, NYWay way way overpriced! I paid $16 for a main course chicken dish and it came in a small bowl with just 3-4 small pieces of chicken. The taste was nothing to shout out about.Comment from Paradise B. of Paradise Biryani Pointe 9/10/2013We work very hard to make some of the tastiest Indian food… More » -

Yorkville, Manhattan, NYWent here based on a recommendation from a friend. Their Biryani is amazing-- love the goat one especially. The Chicken 65 is also a favorite of mine. Highly recommended if you're looking for authentic great tasting Indian food! -

GLEN OAKS, NYJust found out from a friend about paradise opening in lex, was glad they had a huge and comfy place unlike other restaurants on lex...
Food was amazingly like hyderabadi biryani, i tried chicken biryani and 65 both were must try!! Heard goat biryani was also nice.
For a hyderabadi who misses having eaten authentic biryani, this is a delight right in middle of manhattan. Will keep going from now on as its near to work... -

Jersey City, NJBest biryani in the area. Amazing balance of flavor and the spice level was just what i had asked for. The service was casual and friendly and the decor was pleasant. You cannot go wrong with the goat biryani and chicken 65.
