Happy Feet Pet Shop

Nice looking establishment in Murray Hill gets good reviews--but with some very definite dissenters...

One of sour apples says " These must be fake reviews" (the good ones)

Hard to really know, isn't it? Except I remember they WERE up and running very fast after Hurricane Sandy and as I remember they had a generator going as this was in an area without power

I bring my dog here for daycare once or twice a week, he absolutely loves it and runs to the door every time.  The staff is very friendly and warm.  Patti the groom is amazing.  She has been our groomer for years.

I was taking my dog on an extended walk after Hurricane Sandy, and happened by here; they were open despite their lights not yet being back, and they had all the stuff I needed--including the Green Tea Leaves cat litter I've been using. That deserves five stars!

They even had a canned version of Fruitables food I hadn't seen before; this place is really good to know about, and not that far. For them to both be open and have everything I needed was more than I could have hoped for in this crisis state we were in. I'll be back for sure!

Some pricey items, some similar to Petco's and some cheaper.  Support your local pet store?

I liked how they had some items you wouldn't normally see elsewhere-for instance, they had a nice stroller and some nice mesh bags with wheels that you can transport your pet in.  I would totally get one if I had the extra $ to spend on my puppy, but if you're looking for some different products, drop on by here.

I got some shampoo & conditioner for $10.  The worker was friendly and helpful.

I am giving Happy Feet 5 stars because they really are as good as it gets for a basic pet store in the city. First thing worth mentioning is that their prices are so fair compared to other neighborhood pet stores or city chains like PETCO.

    - the store is kept well, organized and clean.
    - the staff is friendly and willing to special order you products or sizes
    - on a few occasions they have placed heavy dog food bags in my car for me
    - they have ample supply of antlers. Long lasting chew item for your dog.
    - for anyone who likes giving their dog bully sticks/braids that DONT SMELL like funk then try their brand, its brazilian and awesome.

happy pet owner after shopping in happy feet.

Just wanted to say thank you to Happy Feet! When everything else was closed and blacked out from Hurricane Sandy, you had your door open and flash lights to help people shop. True dog lovers!!!!

These have to be fake reviews. This place is a DUMP! They give false information over the phone and completely waste your time. I wouldnt recommend anyone taking there pet to this place.

I find the sales staff and manager to be genuinely down-to-earth and helpful.  I am particularly finicky and I do a lot of pricing comparisons on-line. Needless to say, I was quite content with our purchase of a donut shaped bed and a dog carriage for our newly adopted pooch.  I've visited  few posh pet boutiques in nyc but overall, for me Happy Feet's level of customer service and affordability cannot beaten. That goes the same for the Uppereast side location as well.

A wonderful shop!  Always clean, staff goes out of their way to be helpful.  Competitively priced and a welcome addition to the Second Avenue part of town.  More suppliers/business people should be so refreshing.  I often stop in just to say hello to their "house cat" and now that they've added extra home-away-from-home services (doggie day care), they are ever more special!  Thank you!

I use them from time to time for day care when i go on work trips. One time my train was set to arrive at 8 but I was an hr delayed, I explained to them the situation and assured them I would be there to pick up my dog at 905 instead of 8 like I had said and they told me she needed to be boarded they would not wait 5 mins for me. Today I told them I would be there at 730 to drop off my dog and they told me no problem because they open at 7, I got there at 730 and the place was gated up and closed! I had to bring my dog home and I missed my train! They did not seem to have an excuse for being late or care about the inconvenience they had caused me. Very unreliable.

Great local pet shop with a very friendly staff and good prices. I just had my cat groomed by their groomer and he did an excellent job. My kitty looks even more beautiful, we are both very happy.
