Kidville in the Village

Place designed for all sorts of childrens' activities...there are more people with kids in this part of the Village now than there ever used to be...

Let's see if Yelp has anything...solid rave reviews, but there are not that many reviews...

After procrastinating for a long time, the day arrived where procrastination was no longer acceptable.  Planning our son's first birthday could not be put off one more day.  My wife and I searched possible venues and were left with one option.  We arrived to our local "G" gym and were met by a small environment with limited options for the children unless many more dollars were spent.

With a confused heart we accepted that we would not be able to throw a first birthday for our son and we were super sad, Until...A very close friend of mine suggested kidville.  I immediately sought out consultation with approximately 2 weeks till bday.  We were met with warm smiles and perfect options for our son's bday.  The staff at kidville took the load of the planning and supported any changes we had in mind.  In comparison to their competitors, Kidville union Square was a dream come true.

Kidville provided cake(which was beautiful), pizza, juice, art activity, gym play, cake/eatting time, invitations, party favors, and balloons for a reasonable price.  We were able to add adult food for an additional small cost.

The day of the party we were able to enjoy our family, friends, and most importantly our big boy.  The smiling staff handled everything: set up tables, cakes, and even took the coats of our freezing families.  The space was immaculate and the playtime in the gym was exciting and structured.  The staff (adults with various degrees in childhood educations and experience with children) perfected the art of letting children feel free with fun while encouraging/teaching guided  group play values. With the eye of an educator and mother, I was fully satisfied

I waked away from the day feeling complete and the lack of stress made everything sweeter.

Thank you Kidville Union Square!!! I look forward to spring time classes and many birthdays to come!

Our 7 yr old grandson (with his 2 yr old brother) celebrated his birthday at kidville with 20 of his classmates and friends and it was hands-down the best party he's ever had! Kidville staff of four were terrific, guiding the kids through the science project (of making "volcanoes" while they sat at tables), gym time (indoor basketball, trampolines, and jungle gym), and eating (pizzas, drinks and ice-cream cake--from Hagaan Daz). Everything moved along smoothly in clean, colorful, fun-filled rooms, and the kids had a great time, as did the parents and other adults who were able to sit on chairs and benches on the sidelines (and eat food that included wraps, fruit, veggies and dip, and soft drinks). At the end of the party, staff packed up all the presents and the leftover food. All in all, a very successful, enjoyable time for kids and adults...A terrific find for a kid's party! Five stars!

We just held my daughter's 5th birthday at Kidville, and it was outstanding! Kidville took care of everything; all we had to do was show up and enjoy ourselves.

We chose a fun science project (making volcanoes erupt) because I thought it would be fun for both the boys and the girls, and everyone had a great time. They also had a little temporary tattoo station, a Lego area, and a drawing area. Then it was time for the gym, and the kids had a great time jumping on the trampoline. The highlight was the zip line, which I simply had to request after we arrived.

The adults had wraps, fruit and crudites from WholeFoods (for an extra fee) and the kids had pizza and a delicious ice cream cake from Haagen-Dazs. Kidville packed up all the leftovers, gave us a big bag with all the presents to open at home, and even handed out goodie bags at the end.

We found that 90 minutes was enough because most people arrived on time, but I can see how adding the extra half hour might be nice. The staff was good at keeping the activities moving along without us feeling rusehd.

The facility is also relatively new and very clean, which we really appreciated. Hats of to Kidville.

My son takes the paint, wiggle, something and giggle class and he loves it, it's a great introductory class setting for him at 20 months old. We've taken classes at Children's Aid, Gymboree, 14th Street Y, City Treehouse, and we really like Kidville. The staff and facilities are awesome and the membership price for the top-notch indoor gym is the best deal in town. Plus the location is ideal, not just for us who live nearby but for anyone in the Union Square area. Pain Quotidian is next door for a quick snack or lunch, and Grey Dog is around the corner for good lunch options, too.
