They probably plan to have a bunch of these places, but this is the first one I have seen in all my wanderings.
I wonder if there are any reviews of it yet...yes, people like it but there is not the wild enthusiasm there is for "16 Handles" --

2/14/2013My parfait was high quality, well portioned, and delicious. I recommend it to anyone who likes/loves yogurt.
I would argue it is standard price for NYC for organic, customized yogurt parfaits. Everything made-to-order and organic is expensive - end of story. No question about that. But it was quality.
I read all the reviews and realized the only reason this place didn't get the 4 stars it deserves is because it is expensive. I gave it 5 to help it along. It is a solid 4/4.5 establishment. Great idea, Dannon!
Avoid their tomato soup. -

4/3/2013The employees are really nice, and the cute music and available iPads are a nice touch, but no amount of Sarah Bareilles blasting through the speakers can distract me from the fact that I just paid five dollars for a container of Dannon Greek yogurt.
Yogurt culture company: still not as good as buying Chobani at Duane Reade next door and then eating it outside on the street like a protein hungry squirrel -

4/2/2013I stopped by this place because I received a coupon for a free froyo during my morning commute. They serve two varieties of yogurt: tradtional Greek yogurt that you can buy at supermarkets (they literally serve Dannon) as well as frozen yogurt. I decided to try the latter and it tasted like ice cream - a bit on the sweet side and reminiscent of Tasti D-Lite. It was not terrible, but it did not blow me away either.
If it weren't for the coupon that I had, I would probably not have come here in the first place. Unless I have a giant craving and absolutely need a froyo fix while I'm at work, I probably won't be visiting again soon. -

3/5/2013A store that sells only yogurt!?!? Crazy right...
I love the idea of The Yogurt Culture Company...healthy options for your yogurt, not just towering parfaits of sugar like you would find at your local deli. The prices are little high for yogurt, but you are paying for the convenience. They have a loyalty rewards program (punch card) that makes it more reasonably priced.
On my second visit, I noticed that the yogurt is all made by dannon, and they changed the signage in the store to indicate such.
I've tried both the greek and regular yogurts, and honestly, I can't tell the difference. I prefer a very tangy greek yogurt. I would probably stop by Yogurt Culture Company more often if they sold a goat yogurt. Overall, I would recommend YCC to someone looking for a healthy breakfast, but I will not be making it a regular part of my routine.Listed in: The Yelp 100 Challenge -

5/19/2013I really like this place. I often get a yogurt with either berries or puree and some type of granola when I'm craving a lighter lunch. It's expensive for yogurt, but you are also getting fresh fruit and toppings. Also, if you think about it, $5 is pretty cheap for lunch in midtown.
I really love the froyo at this place - it is sweet and creamy and tastes much more like ice cream than the froyo at other similar establishments. -

12/15/2012Dulce de Leche yogurt is always one of the best, and this place has some of the best of the best.
Some people are complaining that it's too expensive, but it's really not that much more than the other places. For $6, you can get a cup of yogurt (the nasty traditional or greek kind, or some of the delicious frozen variety, with a choice of Chocolate, Vanilla, Dulce de Leche, Greek Honey, or the Flavor of the Day). You get to choose 2 toppings included in this price, which consist of fresh fruit and some more fun dry toppings, such as candies and oreo cookie crumbs, etc.
It doesn't have the variety of some of the good chain places, but the frozen yogurt here is so creamy and good, it feels like you are eating ice cream. I would definitely come back here again for a little dessert if I'm in the area.
