This dark, old-fashioned, white tablecloth Italian restaurant provided a decent meal with generous portions. I wouldn't recommend that you go out of your way for it, but it was fine in a pinch.

I've been looking for a neighborhood Italian joint, and think I finally found it! Yes, the interior is dated and the clientele is on the older side... but the food is tasty, and the service is friendly. The city is full of trendy, regional Italian restaurants - it's nice to have a place for old-school Italian, at very reasonable prices.

We split the caprese salad, and had the fettucine alla melanzane and the penne bosco e mare, all of which were well seasoned and prepared. Great for a casual date, or weeknight dinner.

Places like this don't get much publicity, but are perfect for a relaxing evening. Thought they deserved a shout-out on yelp.

This place has very good food and very reasonable prices. I didnt really like the decor of the restaurant it felt kind of old and musky but the food definitely outweighed the atmosphere. Good place if you really are just looking for good italian food on a budget.

Dinner at Trattoria was delicious. We set up a reservation via Yelp. The staff was very attentive and friendly. Since our reservations were late our dinner went through closing time. Luckily, the staff allows us to stay until we were finished.
The only reason I would not rate this place  5 stars is because they played the radio with commercials in the background. The music threw off the environment.

I would come back here again - great food and great service!

Have you ever been to a restaurant that continuously got better as the meal went on?  I have and that place is Trattoria Alba.

After failing to find a place that did not require a reservation on a Saturday evening, I referred to Yelp (but of course!) and found Trattoria Alba.  Not only were they 5 minutes from my apartment but they also said I did not require a reservation if we arrived within the next hour.  So we made our way over and were immediately greeted by the friendly hostess.  They quickly cleared a table for us and we were seated and served HOT bread (not warm, HOT).  I flipped through the wine list like the lush I am and settled on a bottle of pinot grigio.

After the wine arrived, they quickly set it in an ice bucket and made sure to never allow our glasses to become empty during the meal.  We had the caprese antipasto to start.  The tomato, pepper and mozzarella were SO fresh.  We both ordered the chicken with sausage and peppers as our entree.  When that arrived, our eyes widened by the generous amount of food given.  Everything was cooked in this excellent, light white wine sauce.  The chicken was extremely tender, the sausage was seriously the best I have ever devoured, the veggies were extremely fresh and the one fried potato was amazing.

I kept saying I would stop once I was full and take the rest home but I ended up pacing myself and finishing the meal.  The entire time we were eating like cavemen, the staff was attentive and kept refilling our glasses and asking how everything was, WITHOUT being overbearing.  Once we finished our food, we still had some wine to consume, which they allowed us to do so without asking if we wanted the check first.  Once the wine bottle was empty, we ordered espresso with amaretto to top off our fine evening.  They served us our espresso with half a glass (I'm not kidding) of amaretto on the side.

This place seriously has some of the freshest food I have ever eaten.  I will definitely be back!  And all that for $113?  And they deliver.  Come on now..

Walking around in the area & the place seemed nice from the outside so we decide to sit & eat.
They start you off with a small hot bread basket , some butter & olive oil on the table. the bread was ok because it was hot but nothing special.
I had a glass of Pinot Gricio with my meal &  choose the Fettuccine alla melanzane , well at least it sounded good. this was home made with egglant, ricotta , tomatoe sauce , basil , parlsey  & oregano.. i left the eggplant out because i am not a fan but you would think that with all these ingredients the dish would have some taste, it did not it was very bland.
my compnay had the Torellini , this dish was better.
The place is dimly light , descend decor older crowd mainly. the service was good & prices are moderate, not so sure I would go out of my way to return unless i happen to be in the area.
