Some people have to make do in this heat as best they can...

This was supposedly the last torrid day of the big heat wave and so I kept my photo jaunt limited today..

These firemen, of course, get dressed up in heavy gear ( wow, that stuff must seal in the heat,too)--
we expect them to be on call all the time, of course, no matter what they have to put up  with

Same thing for a lot of people whose jobs require them to just keep plugging along in this heat...

 And then, of course, there are the homeless (who CAN go to City cooling centers)--and those who are hustling up some kind of a living out on the street despite the weather.

This being Manhattan, noticed a lot of people were very concerned about this man's dogs...probably more concerned than they were about HIM.

Then there are people who CHOOSE to exercise out in the heat...saw very few joggers and of course the park here was empty, but of course, there was one guy who was going to practice his game no matter what...
