Bachelorette and Friends on 42nd Street..love to know what the story here is

These young ladies all seemed pretty happy and pretty pleased with themselves in the waning of the Heat Wave  afternoon on 42nd Street near Lexington Avenue...

This is another one of those times I would have loved to interrupt to find out what is with the tiara and the "Bachelorette" sash, but I was satisfied just to get the photo.

Ha! Remembered that old saying from an ancient TV show, " There are eight million stories in the Naked City..."
