Love those jewel birds

Astro Gems and Minerals has finally I believe made its move to its new home up on Fifth Avenue...so I won't be passing it all the time on 34th Street.

I like jewels and minerals, cut or uncut, and one of my favorite areas of the Museum of Natural History has always been its  crystal and minerals area...

Of course, the craftsmanship of so many of the items at Astro makes them especially fun to check out...

Again, I suppose I have to put in a disclaimer that I get no financial gain out of writing about any of this ( people are probably justifiably wary of why people are posting anything on the internet these days...except, it seems, when it comes to another looney "world ends tomorrow" type of story....)
