Closeouts...being what?

I was going to discard this photo from the street fair yesterday because the arms of people who pushed in front of my camera at just the wrong moment, and then it occurred to me that that is also  just a typical situation at a street fair..

These "closeout" items are all kinds of off little trinkets and doodads and I notice several little contained rocket peace symbols among them...

Are they all earrings? You really can't tell from this...well, another Unsolved Mystery of the Big City...
