I hate that Trump is in Mexico. As a Mexican who LEGALLY lived in the US for almost six years and as the mother of two American citizens, I hate the fact that Peña and Trump's meeting feels like two evils joining against the interest of the people.
So why would Donald Trump engage Nieto? Likely because he's losing the election and this is a last ditch effort to still appear bold before voters. It wasn't a great moment for Mexico either. Actually, it was an embarrassment.
Each year there are productions across Mexico and the well-informed audiences tend to respond with great enthusiasm. So, it is no surprise that you would find a world-class opera production like Lucia di Lammermoor being performed at a theatre in Central Mexico.
