Dear EMS1 Subscriber,
EMS is in the middle of health care’s dynamic transformation. Forces within EMS, such as evolving clinical care capabilities and an increasingly educated workforce, and broad economic and social forces outside of EMS are creating new trends in the profession.

To understand and evaluate how the profession is changing, Fitch & Associates, in cooperation with EMS1 and the National EMS Management Association, has undertaken a significant effort to study a diverse population of EMS agencies on topics from clinical care to salaries to operational benchmarks to hiring requirements.

The premiere edition of the EMS Trend Report identifies traits that many EMS systems across the country share and the significant differences that exist. Read the report to see how your agency compares to others. Discuss the findings and send us your thoughts on how EMS is changing at editor@ems1.com
