1 hurt in Bronx apartment fire; FDNY eyes hover board as possible cause
THE BRONX –– One person was hurt in a fire inside a third floor of a Bronx apartment that may have been triggered by an overheated hover board.
The blaze at 1115 Prospect Ave. was under control an hour after it started around 2:20 a.m. Monday.
The victim was taken to a local hospital with minor injuries.
The FDNY chief at the scene reports the fire might have been caused by a hover board, however the official cause has yet to be determined.
