The Berlin venture capitalists "German Startups Group" is preparing an IPO on the Frankfurt Stock Exchange. The investor has specialized in the start-up scene in Germany, especially in Berlin. "The IPO allows future investors in the upswing of young, high-growth companies from the outset to benefit before they go public", founder Christoph Gerlinger told the Frankfurter Allgemeine Sonntagszeitung. "For the industry retail investors have been limited access."
In his portfolio are among other young German flagship companies such as Delivery Hero, Mister Spex and the estimated more than 700 million euros music portal SoundCloud. The 47-year-old business economist Gerlinger has previously founded two startups himself and floated.
Since 2012 he is active as a business angel and investor in Berlin. The "German Startups Group" is currently reviewing about 600 investment opportunities each year, about 20 of which it increases with minority and majority ownership interests in the future a.
