Move over, Maserati.
Among the exotic cars and innovative hybrids on display at the 2015 New York International Auto Show is an eye-catching FDNY fire truck marking the department’s 150th anniversary.
The FDNY150 truck sports a design of the city skyline painted in red, white and blue.
The truck, complete with an aerial ladder that can extend up to seven stories, is the same model as the ones used by smoke eaters in all five boroughs.
But the one-of-a-kind rig on display will be used only for parades and special events marking the FDNY’s 150 years of service.
“The beautiful fire truck is a tribute to the men and women of the FDNY who bravely serve our city,” said FDNY Commissioner Daniel Nigro.

Despite the truck’s significance, much of the attention at the auto show’s Wednesday press day focused on its most expensive cars, such as the $2.8 million Aston Martin Vulcan.
The track-only supercars are built out of carbon fiber and boast top speeds of over 200 mph.
Only 24 will be built — making the car “an instant collectible,” said Aston Martin’s Viana Mehl-Laituri.
“Plus, it’s really fun to drive,” added Viana Mehl-Laituri, a brand communications executive.
Other cars won rave reviews for their jaw-dropping features.
An FDNY Fire Chief 1924 Model-T Ford is also on display.

The Rolls-Royce Wraith ‘Inspired by Film’ offers a truly cosmic experience. Hand-sewn in the all-silver luxury car’s interior roof are 1,340 fiber optic cables, mimicking a starry night.
“It’s quite a unique feature,” said product manager Terence Gordon.
And it’s fully customizable.
“You can get it to match the star pattern above the town you were born on the night you were born,” Gordon added.
“Nobody else is doing something like that.”
The New York auto show, North America’s largest, opens to the public on April 3 and runs to April 12.
