Cabinet Chief Jorge Capitanich announced that due to the ankle fracture that President Cristina Fernández de Kirchner suffered last week, she has been forced to reschedule all official events until January 12.

The National Statistics and Census Institute (INDEC) has revealed that the Argentine economy contracted a total of 0.8 percent in the third quarter of this year, compared to the same period in 2013.
The informal rate of the US currency was up 17 cents at 13.55 pesos today, having climbed as high  13.60 pesos in early trade. Meanwhile, the US dollar closed stable at 8.565 pesos in Buenos Aires City.
