A fire inside two Manhattan buildings Friday morning caused traffic woes for drivers near the entrance to the Midtown Tunnel.
City fire department officials say flames were reported at 251 East 35th Street around 10:50 a.m.
About 20 minutes later, another fire was reported at 645 Second Avenue.
Both buildings are on the corner of 35th Street and Second Avenue.
Fire officials say residents of the buildings were able to get out safely and no injuries have been reported.
The response caused traffic trouble near the Midtown tunnel.
Drivers are advised to use alternate routes.
