What I liked about this hotel was that the room was very quiet. The room 628 had a view of Hudson river from the bedroom. Yes, the room has a bedroom with contemporary two-room layout. It was designed space without feeling cramped, utilizing sliding doors defiantly making space larger than what it was and those sliding doors were easily to create different feel and functions. Two sliding doors, one for bedroom and the other for living room, completely omit any sounds going out the hallway for complete privacy, great for couples! You know what I mean?
I also loved the modern amenities, the light switches are sleek, clean and easy to use.

- the quality of room service foods. For how much they're asking for, I wish it matched the hotel.
- senior friendly shower floor was an excellent idea, no gaps, but it was a huge disappointment for bath lovers, no bathtub. -
This all-suites hotel (it used to be an Embassy Suites) offers spacious, comfortable rooms with modern and luxurious decor. The style is a bit bland, though-- lots of beige, cream, and light green colors. The location is great for travelers with business near WTC or WFC, less convenient for others as the nearest subway stops are several blocks away. There are enough restaurants and small shops nearby to keep a traveler from going completely stir-crazy.
This hotel is one of the places in Manhattan where you can fit 4 people into a room, though the location is out of the way for vacationers. -

I think for the purpose this hotel is to serve, it functions well. It is located across from the Goldman building, and is owned by GS. This is more a business hotel than anything else. It has modern decor and a beautiful distinctive lobby and the emptiest movie theatre attached (the Regal Cinemas BPC), which is great for hotel guests not looking to go far and that enclave has cafes, delis, a Shake Shack, the water, and Tribeca just a block away.
One of my colleagues had mentioned he sometimes comes here after work cause of their Loopy Droopy rooftop bar that overlooks the Hudson, but it closes at 10 pm on weekends and is only open from May to October.
I accidentally stopped in here to see a movie on a Saturday night at the Regal Cinemas and came back the next day to have brunch here after having been blown away by the lobby. The food is like American with a Mediterranean flaire (like eggs benedict with spices and potato side with what seemed like curry mixed-in). I wish they would just stick to real American food, which is probably what business travelers and tourists crave anyways rather than this fusion nonsense. It was good and seemed fancy, but never been fond of fusion breakfasts especially in this country (when abroad, I understand). I ilke my breakfasts as American as they come with no spices or curry or Mediterranean flaire. The ambience is nice though with them playing soothing elevator music (conducive to getting business done) and lounge couches for business folks on their laptops.
I still have to give it four stars though for the amazing lobby that compelled me to come back the next day. -

The hotel lobby is beautiful and the room was very nice and clean. The receptionist was warm and efficient. Loved the "smart" light switches and privacy settings. My only minor complaints are that the coffee machine wasn't working and they didn't have decaf tea in the room, which my wife prefers. I also appreciated that they had 4 bath towels in the room, not the usual two. -

I've never stayed here, but i've seen the lobby and bar. It's really nice inside and the bar looked sick. If I had a million dollars i'd buy a room for a night, but you can tell me how it is. -

Wonderful hotel so futuristic! Make sure you head over to the restaurant for some really great food! The meatballs are so succulent and the drinks are really expertly made. If you are into really modern futuristic design this is the place to go! -

Luxury Suite. I loved everything about it except for that hair in the tub, and how the bathtub can only fit one person or two five ft girls I guess. -

When I think 5 stars I think of an old world, regal feel. A Ritz, if you will.
The Conrad is the opposite. Very plain/modern/simple. The service was nice, the rooms were nice and the shower amazing!
I give it a 4 because for a 5 star hotel I expect to see more staff and a little more frills. This definitely wasn't the case here, but I still enjoyed my stay. -

Booked the Conrad in June because of their free parking rate and great reviews.
The hotel is nice, very large and has a chain feel to it.
I felt at check in there was a lack of TLC or appreciation along with any sort of orientation just checks in and here is your key.
The rooms are sterile and cold but very spacious. Probably the largest hotel room I have ever stayed in in Manhattan. If you want to walk or run the battery great location. If you are a subway person, not a good location. Unfortunately for me who usually walks everywhere it poured this weekend. The Conrad is far from any subway line so I was held hostage to taxis. If it had been a nicer weekend I probably wouldn't have minded the location.
Unfortunately for my NYC needs I will probably not stay there again. It is a nice spacious hotel but out of the way even as far as downtown is concerned. -

Hey, you can see the lights of Jersey City! Oh, look, that tiny green thing with the light is the Statue of Liberty!
So there's that.
Also, the bartenders are super friendly and nice. Drinks are fun (I didn't have the icicle thing) but really expensive.
It's a nice, relaxing environment and if you're dying to see Jersey City, well baby, you're in luck! -
Hubby and I stayed here one night. We checked in and was lucky enough to get the top floor, the views are truly spectaular. I got full views of the Hudson river, boats, skyline skyccraper big apple views! Amazballs! That in itself is worth the stay.
Our room had a fantastic two person shower very mod chic & sleek sexy bath. Contemporary throughout. Low platform bed seferra linens, robes the whole thing. Very nice. Also a separate sitting area with 2nd flatscreen.
The room would have been perfect if it would not have been for the obvious sex stains on the very beautiful contemporary chair in the living area. The chair needed to be removed or the very least cleaned :( discusting.
Hubby had business in the hotel and we met several people at the hotel bar in the lobby and had some cocktails. The hotel bar was quite nice and the open lobby area with giant round cushion seating area was interesting as was the giant commercial artwork. The carpet however was completely worn & soiled in many many giant areas! I think a hotel of this size & price should have long had the carpet replaced and the chair in our room was completely unaccetable :(

Favorite Hotel in NYC.
To sum up my review, I want to live here. The suites are beautifully furnished and designed to make great use of the space. The lighting is controlled by center panel touchpads. The closets have modern built-in wood paneling. The bedding is soft luxurious down-feather comforter and pillows. The suites have a desk and as a Hilton member, I got free wifi that worked so much better than any other hotel wifi. If you get a view, you will face an unobstructed harbor/ city view. The bathrooms have modern sinks, back lit mirror, and a rain shower with temperature gauge controls. The rooms are separated by Japanese style Shoji sliding doors. They have 2x per day housekeeping service.
The lobby is spacious, the ceiling over the center atrium towers over 15 floors. There is a rooftop bar and a downstairs restaurant. Breakfast came with our room since we had Hilton Rewards member coupons, otherwise it's a pretty expensive $20/per person (there's a bagel cafe literally 1 block out the back of the hotel if you would rather save the money).
The location is so much more peaceful than many of the other congested parts of the city. It overlooks a park. It's safe, in fact you need your key to use the elevator. It's in downtown, so it's not the happening area and that is really the only drawback. Restaurants, museums, and other points of interest are far. If you need to be in wall street, Chelsea, Chelsea Piers, or Downtown, it's walkable if not a quick taxi ride. -
Conveniently located for my occupation, close to the subways and ferries, and upstairs from a Shake Shack. Other nice pluses include daily turn-down service, water and towels for after your run (of which I did not partake), and bartenders with a sense of humor. -

Really enjoyed my stay here! I came just for a night of R & R and enjoy some time alone. It was better than what I expected my experience to be. The place is beautiful, very beautiful decor and modern art. The rooms are large, with separate area for the bedroom and livingroom. Flatscreens in bedroom & LR....SPOTLESS hotel! Robes and slippers in the closet, very chic.
The staff was very professional, even the housekeeping staff. Room service was quick and accomodating. They have a rooftop that overlooks the Hudson river...AMAZING view! The ambiance is unbelievable, made me appreciate NY a little more.
In the area, you can walk along the promenade area. Not much traffic because it is residential (more Upper class folks) There's a movie theatre about a block away and a small shopping area (not like a retail dept store..knick knacks and tourist ).
Different crowds of people there...tourist, families, singles, couples...everyone seemed captivated by the ambiance.
Plenty of local coffee shops for the New York feel. There's plenty of shopping and things to do in the vicinity. Close to the World Trade site (walking distance) Shopping areas, Century 21, Greenwhich Village, Soho area, not far from Midtown Manhattan. The subway is not far away but a bit of a walk. ***Don't walk over the bridge if your not in shape because there is a VERY steep stairwell you must walk to cross over*** you can walk around the bridge.
There is a restaurant in the lobby but obviously over priced. The food is good but not worth the $$$. You're better off venturing out in the City for grub.
This place will not disappoint you. -

EXCELLENT service and rooms. We had the suit (a complimentary upgrade because we came on our wedding night) and fell in love with the room). Modern, exceptionally clean, and HUGE. It was very apartment-looking which can be a high and a low depending on your taste but we are still fans of this place. Thumbs up! -

The Conrad Hotel is one of the best hotels I've stayed at EVER.
I spent a night here for my girlf's bachelorette party. Our double bed suites were so spacious, you can easily fit 6 people comfortably for a night. I love that they offered a wet bar in the room, a great place to set up drinks. The room also had a separate living area from the bedroom, which I really thought was important for our party. The bathroom and shower were also separate, so one girl was able to shower while the others were able to put their make up on at the sink. Total plus!
The lobby was so modern, it had a cool different vibe that I've never seen at a hotel before. Also the hotel over looked the Hudson, so it had great views of Jersey. We took some amazing pictures. The concierge and bellhop were also quite helpful.
The only negatives I can mention is that there is a restocking fee ($25) if you take out anything from the mini fridge in the room to add your personal items. Also, no free wifi. It also took us about an hour to get ice from the front desk.
Otherwise, I would definitely recommend staying at the Conrad. -

The view from the hotel is to die for.
The location is very calming and relaxing.
The design of the hotel is very chic and contemporary.
The size of the room is big and worth the buck.
So why is it losing 2 stars? It's for what they lack.
You pay a good amount of money and expect at least free wifi. I mean c'mon, holiday inn has free wifi.
No refrigerator, but one can be given upon request with a flat fee of of course.
No ice machine. Have to request ice and call housekeeping.
Unfortunately one star is lost from the staff. The front desk people weren't very welcoming and they make me question a second stay.
But if you must stay somewhere in NY, this hotel is a good option. -
Great view from their rooftop bar! But you better be willing to pay $15 for a glass of their house wine. The hotel shares the building with the Regal Movie Theater, sits directly across the 200 West Street Goldman Sachs, and shares the atrium with nearby residents, businessmen, tourists, and high school students from Stuyvesant. It's a mecca of people, which can be a bit overwhelming for everyone alike.

Great hotel in Financial District area. I had a perfect view of the Freedom Tower right outside my window. Huge lobby and very modern - rooms are spacious and lighting is done to perfection (as a makeup junkie that needs the right lighting - this is a huge plus to me). Restaurant and spacious movie theater within the building.
If you visit from May-October there is a rooftop bar that is open as long as the weather is nice. :) -

This place is really great -- the management and the staff are what really make the difference. Even before you check in they do whatever they can to make your stay perfect. The hotel has an elegant yet very approachable ambiance, beautifully situated overlooking Hudson River. We woke up to stunning views every morning. Rooms are spotless and very high tech. Lights in each room, housekeeping and temperature all are controlled with a press of the button on the wall panel. What I liked the most about the room was very spacious rainfall shower. It was probably the largest hotel shower I've seen. Another perk was good Espresso machine. Just what I needed to keep up with the "city that never sleeps"
Staff really attends to each one of your needs. It was raining first two days we were there and front-desk offered us complementary umbrellas when they saw us leaving the hotel. Also we used some late night dinning tips from night front-desk staff and we were very pleased.
I would like to thank Jimmy - the general manager and his team for taking such a good care of us. I highly recommended this hotel and will definitely stay again -

Truly enjoyed our suite at The Conrad.
Attention to detail throughout the hotel was beautiful and obvious.
The rooms are very well designed with opaque glass walls to the vanity/bath area and shower; allowing light to move between all of the spaces.
We were surprised with a beautiful view of the Irish Hunger Memorial and the Hudson river through the gap in the buildings. Although our room was only on the third floor, it was quiet.
Accommodating staff and room service was very kind to honor unique requests.
The neighborhood is calm, clean and away from the tourist throngs at the One World Trade Center site (thankfully).
After finding this location, our future travel to NYC will find us searching for rooms at The Conrad. We didn't want to leave. -
Very sleek/modern hotel in the Battery Park neighborhood. Rooms are large, with a living room area and a large size bath and shower. All very clean and chic, with bathrobe and slippers to match, serves as the perfect place to unwind after a hard shopping day. The hotel having 15 floors as well as the area being mostly residential helps getting away from the usual Manhattan "sound stage" of ambulance horns etc. - great if you need your beauty sleep :-)
We found staff to be very courteous and friendly, even letting us park our car in front for no charge (parking in NY is a nightmare otherwise) while we were having dinner upstairs and then taking the car back to the car rental place more than an hour later.
We found no fault with the hotel apart from the price which is quite steep and the distance to the next subway station - if you are not good on foot the distance might be off-putting.
Other than that Battery Park is a great neighborhood and if you like walking you'll have easy access to Greenwich Village and Soho. -

My friend and I searched for a hotel that was conveniently located, upscale, clean and modern. We got all that and more at the Conrad. The front desk service man at check-in gave us a great room on a high floor with a partial view, when I simply asked if it might be possible to get an upgrade. Everything about the room was excellent. It really felt like a perfectly appointed modern studio apartment (without the kitchen!). If we needed our own space, we simply pulled the soji screen-like modern door separating the sitting room from the bedroom and the bathroom.
There was a slight issue with the mini-bar because we thought we could use it to put our own drinks like water in there, but we were wrong. Upon checkout I noticed a charge which had been reversed for usage of the mini-bar fridge. We really enjoyed the gym, the proximity to the river and park, and the multitude of dining options all around the place. No free Wi-fi but that wasn't a big deal as we could use the business center if need be.
