STIX

Pretty good reviews for what ads call "Mediterrenean Grill"-- with the usual naysayers

On the whole looks pretty positive though...worst complaints are about slow delivery for food ordered from them

I would definitely go back to this place!  Super cute for a date.

Service was great, the waitress was really helpful with recommending drinks ......

LOVE the KALE... I wasn't too hungry, so I didn't try too much food.  But overall, happy with the service, drink and the food.

Note to myself ( and to people who is curious about this place) Have to Go (again).

I think they have coffee too... hmmmm

I've never actually eaten at STIX, but I've ordered from them several times on Seamless. Both times I ordered two chicken stix which I thought were better the first time than the second. I've had there greek fries which is a large amount of fries covered in feta and I've had their parmesan truffle fries which are 1) more expensive than the greek fries and 2) a fraction of the amount of greek fries. I know truffle is suppose to be expensive, but I was a little bummed when could literally glance at the amount of fries and guess the number there were accurately.

I'd like to check out some more things on their menu and actually eat at the restaurant if I get the chance.

This is an unusual place and seems to offer something for everyone.... There's a coffee bar, a bar that serves up cocktails and Sangria next to it, and the restaurant itself. I really like the Mediterranean style of cooking here, as I love the flavors of grilled foods with olive oil, lemon and herbs. I walked by this place dozens of times, but when I decided to actually go in, I ordered a Tuna Stix and a Pork Stix (the meat is cubed on sticks like a shish kabob) to go. I liked the tuna so much I went back the next day for more! It tasted so fresh, and I ordered it rare, and it really tasted like tuna you'd get at a fancier, more expensive restaurant. The pork was also good; I'd also recommend the roasted baby potatoes with its delicious rosemary flavor.

    Just about the coffee:
Got an iced mocha and it wasn't what I was expecting. Despite the whip cream they put on top it still tasted a little watery. Not much flavor. Staff was nice though.

Great service, though kitchen push out is sporadic; vegetarian options all excellent!
Great Tzatziki, excellent pita...and PANCAKE POLLIPOPS, yes, pancakes on a stick, and they were AWE-SOME. Wifey loved the Lentil Salad (generous portion). Staff was also exceptionally friendly...waitress was prompt, knowledgable, made good recommendations, attentive, friendly. For a small joint on E 23rd, they blow everyone else away...nice clean decor, too, with comfortable seating. I hope they do great business and stick around. Get it? I said "stick" around. Ok, I'll get some more coffee.

    PROS:
    - great service
    - sangria: used fresh fruits however like my friend mentioned, the alcohol wasn't as good as it could have been because the fruits were supposed to have been soaked in the sangria like maybe for a couple of hours or overnight to acquire a better taste.

    THE OKAY:
    - Chicken Skewers: meat was moist and I liked the lemon juice. It really added to the flavor
    - Pita Bread with 4 sauces (I really liked the eggplant and hummus dipping) the white sauce and the spicy tuna sauce was okay. Spicy tuna sauce wasn't really spicy so you don't expect it to be spicy.

    CONS:
    - Shrimp Skewers: don't get me wrong but I love seafood and this just didn't cut it for me. It was too dry and it had a burnt taste to it. Also the shrimp wasn't marinated well enough. It was just practically burnt shrimp.

P.S. If anyone needs to go to the bathroom there is a passcode for it. It's 6666. (This is my first time going to a bathroom that requires a passcode.)

It's been 2 hours and I've been waiting for this place to deliver the rest of the items that they forgot in my order that I picked up. The food is really good but it's not worth waiting this long.

Stop reading reviews and get your hungry self over to Stix right now.

I'd like to point out that I am a native Greek and Stix offers a modern twist to various Mediterranean foods, not only Greek.

They serve the finest quality ingredients, free-range meats, local produce when available, whole wheat pita bread, use eco-friendly take-out containers, have a friendly and welcoming atmosphere and staff, and most importantly, the food is just delicious. Amazing seasoning on every item, fine quality olive oil, meats are perfectly cooked and flavorful (tuna, chicken, and shrimp stix are my favorite!) as well as the vegetable options (vegetarian stix, Greek salad... delicious feta cheese!).

I cannot stop raving about STIX.

And to top it all off, a yogurt bar with toppings that would please Europeans and non-Europeans alike. (Pasteli anyone?! So good).

You cannot leave without having a freddo cappuccino or espresso (iced coffee, unlike any other you have had! Greek style!) made by a Greek champion barista... who knew you could win trophies in coffee making! When you try his coffee though, you will know why.

Everything about Stix is great. Just go.

    Ordered delivery.

Delivery service: After one hour, the food never showed up. I called the restaurant, who called the delivery person, who appeared out of nowhere a few minutes after calling. The food was cold, of course, after sitting in a bag for an hour.

    Food:
-Veggie stix - unseasoned charred veggies. Definitely needs some seasoning.
-Couscous - actually quite good. Warm and buttery.
    -Fries - soggy and cold
-Scone - for some reason, they tossed in a free scone with our dinner order. It was quite good.

Bottom line: food and delivery service needs improvement

Lunched here this afternoon and had the spicy cheese spread, a chicken stix and chef's stix (minched lamb), and an order of fries with sea salt. Everything is priced fairly and I felt the food was okay. I wasn't surprised or disappointed with what I had ordered. The chicken was fine, I could have passed on the minced stix.

I do love the decor and open space. They even have a yogurt bar with toppings that I found to be unique and different for a greek / mediterranean restaurant.
