Organic Avenue, Yorkville

As I have said, I am always on the look out for healthy, organic places (usually gluten free as well)

This one seems very new on East 86th Street in Yorkville and SO FAR just has great reviews

    gluten free  and vegan food!

i love their kale salad which is gluten free! but would love it more if it would be cheaper! lol!

also the thai cabbage wrap (i cant remember the exact name) is gluten free with a good peanut sauce... which is gluten free too! i buy it all the time...

another one of my gluten free fave is the coconut yogurt parfait! so good for gluten free and vegan!!!

the chocolate mousse is amazing but way too much sugar!!!! i think its about 40g for the cup! which is way too much for someone that pays $7 for a small portion!!!!! and you would to pay for it to eat healthy and avoid the other sweet sold out there with bad ingredient........

theres much more but this place is great for food on the run!!!!! quick in and out

and you can buy lots of gluten free snacks too, fresh juices and lots more gluten free/vegan food! love this place!

Very recently, within the past 2 or 3 weeks I have learned about Organic Avenue. At first impression, one may think that this is a showroom. :)
    It's not!
They have ROOM! Compared to some other shops in general that I frequent , it makes me happy that they have adequate room to take a look and pickup some healthy juices and snacks.
I was greeted by a friendly and pretty gal. The folks working there had some samples of their mosyt popular green juice. I have to say, it was tasty.
OA's "schtick" well not a schtick, but fact is that they cold press their juices.
I enjoyed their selection of ready to go juices. This is great because there is no line and no waiting. I enjoyed their chia matcha latte thingamajig. Energizing and refreshing on a summer day!
I also found a stainless steel straw which has now become my favorite straw. Yeah, I know...I am corny.
Their juices come in nice bottles. I have considered re-using them for the day if I buy a juice. Trying to be "eco" here!

They are a bit pricey, but all juices are. Think about how much it would cost if you lug home all of those ingredients, organic ingredients mind you!
And you don't get the nice folks at home (I mean unless you make friends with them if they like Star Wars, movies, Game of Thrones and such) -ah in this day of Internet and Facebooking , Tweeting, Twitting hooting and online hollering, it is rather a "faux Pas" to have conversations in ...public. So scratch trying to make friends in public! :))

Sarcasm and humor aside, Organic Avenue is convenient, a treat for me to take some time out and grab a great juice or snack, and thinking about it is not too hurtful on the wallet.

I will definitely return, and I love the fact that it's on the UES and not snobby!

New businesses must be taking into consideration NOT being snooty, snotty, snobby because I have not added a place to my Snobby list in ages!

OA is great, friendly folks...great juices - I would LOVE to try their 1 day juice cleanse. I so want one of those bags and/or coolers.

Maybe I picked the busiest time to go into this store, so nobody paid attention to me. Which is fine with me, I grabbed everything that looked appealing to me.

Green juice, kale and quinoa, salads, hummus, chocolate covered banana, kale chips... everything that I'm obsessed about nowadays.

There are juices, smoothies, "mylk", soups. ($9-12)
There are salads with fresh ingredients. ($10-20)
Ingredients like "wheatgrass" and "barley" and "kale".

Everything is made fresh to go.

I love the green monster, which consists of banana, kale, wheatgrass, barley.

They're super nice and casual here! Never rush you, very helpful, and you can eat at the little bar stools against the window.

So glad Organic Avenue is open on E 86th Street now. Best tasting healthy food. Love their juices. Pricey, but knowing I'm eating something healthy more than makes up for it. Coconut Mylk is my favorite.

Love their sweet greens juice. It's $11 for the glass jar but I keep them and reuse them for other beverages.   Juices are fresh and they usually have two samples for tasting. Adorable totes are given too with your purchase . Never tried the food but I usually stop at least once a week for a pick me up juice .
