LUSH- high priced (?) "fresh made" cosmetics- Yorville

Well, this really high-end cosmetics store is obviously not for everyone and in fact it probably costs so much I wonder if I should even post this ( but is that fair seeing as I have not been in the store and am not the person to ask what women's cosmetics should cost?)

Oh well, the people who have written reviews love it

Officially love now. I went in after work yesterday to pick up more of products I already use. I was not in the best of moods and wasn't up to listening to any sales pitches. I walked in, said I knew what I needed, the salesgirl helped me gather my 3 items up, I paid and was out in under 5 minutes, so I could rush home and cry over my Masters degree with a bottle of wine.

They are doing free face consultations next week, sign ups are by the register. Not my thing but nice if you are into that.

I am writing an actual review for Lush, not prior to opening just to be first to review!
    :)

    That being said...

I just found out LAST NIGHT that Lush was opening in my area of the city!
I was so happy to find out that today would be the opening of one of my absolute favorite stores.

I was greeted by very friendly folks working at Lush. Athough there were some usual annoying UES types at this location, it did not sway me from the great time I had browsing and shopping.

Bringing my 6'5 hubby ensured that snippy chihuahuas did not annoy me ::wink:: And no, I do not mean the cute dog of that name!

Humor aside, here are some factoids about Lush UES:

    -Not snotty/snooty/UES-like
-Prices are standard Lush prices :)
-Shop is small but big enough to fit in and browse
-Employees are very friendly, smart, and not cookie cutter UES blondes with annoying voices! No disrespect to annoying voices, but the "UES accent" brought to you by Valley Girl circa 1995 California, and age to match circa 1995, I really appreciate adults talking like they are...adults!
-It's really nice to have shops that have friendly and smiling folks working there

    So what did I buy?

I only purchased one item, because I am saving money for my future son or daughter! Yes, I am pregnant and hormonal! And yes, Lush DID cheer this preggy lady up a LOT!

Simone was extremely helpful , friendly and very outgoing. She gave me a sample of the Lush body wash, well one of their many. Something that had the word 'hippie' in it. That alone made it cool, my preggie brain cannot recall the name right now, but I am sure if you go into the store and ask for the 'hippie body wash' they will definitely know what you are looking for!

Take my word and consider trying some of my favorite Lush products:

    -Sandstone soap
Reminds me of the beach. Has sand  in it, not too abrasive but perfect in the shower. Smells great, too

    -I Love Juicy shampoo
smells great in the morning. Wakes you up. Smells like you could eat it but I don't advise eating any Lush products. Once I was wondering what to punish my naughty husband with for having a potty mouth- LUSH SOAP! Don't come crying to me if you use soap from LUSH in a friends' mouth and they get upset! I warned ya!

    -American Cream conditioner
Smells like a retro diner milkshake....Vanilla and strawberries? I think so!

    -Ocean Salt Scrub
I love anything that reminds me of the ocean, and beach. This scrub is heavenly. You feel renewed and ready to take on the world after using Ocean Salt.

    -Fresh Masks
I love the LUSH Fresh Masks because they are kept chilled. You keep them in the fridge, and you will feel so pampered after a long day of work after using one!
Brazened Honey is one of my favorites.

I can list so many more of my favorite LUSH products.

I am a Lushie at heart, and wish my wallet could afford more LUSH. Who knows, maybe a part time job at LUSH is in order for me!

Definitely check out Lush. One of my all time favorites!

LUSH is one of my favorite stores to go to. I absolutely love every product I have tried on and have purchased over the years. All of the products are delicious and I haven't run into any problems with allergic reactions even though I have sensitive skin. The store itself is fairly new, clean, and well kept. The staff are kind and knowledge, and are willing to give you a full skin treatment for free.
