Review from Amber C.
Brooklyn, NYI came across this store on the grand opening. The prices are so much cheaper than all of the drug stores around the city. My favorite buy so far is the Dr. Bronner's Castille Liquid Soaps. I usually pay 17 at Duane Read but at Harmon I got 1 for 11.
I absolutely love that they carry nail polishes from Essie, Orly and OPI. My favorite part of cosmetics is that they carry the full range of products from NYX Cosmetics. I purchased 3 Butter Glosses which are comparable to some MAC glosses for 4 dollars each.
The #1 thing I love is that they have a bathroom!!! And it's pretty clean. The staff and security are nice and very helpful. -

How's your face?
Harmon Face Values is a step above the typical Duane Reade or CVS drug stores-- plus more. They have a large selection of beauty care needs from moisturizers, cosmetics, creams, lotions, eye brow tweezers, hair accessories with brand names as Goody. The travel and trial size department is huge floating high above against the wall as it is my favorite department, an imminent danger. This newly open Chelsea location is a large space adjacent to Trader Joe's supermarket. The aisles are very organized and spacious without the same Duane Reade feel. I had no idea that Harmon Face Values is owned by the same company as Bed, Bath & Beyond as Yelpers stated.
Staff is warmly welcoming as I browse for a look - see. A security guard stands by the entrance on a podium. Afterall you only have one face so value it with great care. -

New York, NYSO much cheaper than CVS or Duane Reade. Additionally, you can use Bed Bath coupons here for even more extreme savings (and from what I've heard, they honor competitors' coupons too!).
For example, my go to moisturizer (CeraVe Moisturizing Cream, which is INCREDIBLE) is $18-$19 at Duane Reade/CVS. At Harmon, it's $15. Add in a 20% off coupon and it's $12!
The store is spacious and clean, and the staff is friendly. Wish it was closer to my apartment, but at least I don't have to suffer through Bed Bath & Beyond crowds anymore! -

Chelsea, Manhattan, NYI live close by and they have a huge selection of everything I could want, big store, the prices are great, and they won me over by having hair products that I was having to either travel a ways to get or order online when I didn't want to travel. Great store! Glad it's here!! -

Brooklyn, NYharmon was a staple of my formative years in NJ -- it has a great selection of drugstore beauty products and OTC drugs and other health-related items (including cheap but good store brand options). since i've moved to the city, i've been able to get my harmon fix by shopping at the health & beauty section of bed bath & beyond (they're owned by the same company), but i'm excited to finally have a standalone store that doesn't require braving the crowds at bb&b.
the aisles here are spacious and, at least when i came, not overly packed with people.
note that most brand-name items -- like hair products, toothpaste, contact solution, band-aids, and cosmetics -- are significantly cheaper here than at duane reade or CVS. sometimes several dollars cheaper.
minus half a star for not taking amex (which is weird, because sister stores bb&b and buybuy baby do), but that's not a big deal. -

ASTORIA, NYIn my weekly trips to the nearby Trader Joe's, I kept seeing a sign for Harmon's. I had no clue what it was. Then yesterday, as I walked by on my way to TJ's, I saw ballons and signs stating it was their grand opening. It's basically your typical drug store make-up but at a small discount (just by a few cents to a dollar). I was not overly impressed as I can find this stuff anywhere and Queens has a plethora of discount beauty supply stores.
They carry some food items, and again, there is not a huge discount as to warrant weekly or even monthly trips. But I guess for residents of Chelsea, this is a nice fixture for cheaper make-up.
