East Pacific

I have never known what to make of this place (now under scaffolding like so much of this City)--another place near the subway that I just notice going by, mostly for their yellow sign (below)
Well, let me see what Yelp says ( I glanced at reviews before and they did not seem all that bad) ( of course, a couple of sour apples)

Wow....$3 Martini special for the ladies everyday till 8pm. My friend and I thought it would be water down, but surprisingly it was pretty strong. Beer was $3 bucks and all other drinks were half off. They had a good selection of drinks and it was still dirt cheap. I don't know why they don't announcing it to the world. (****)

I had the dragon roll and it was very amazing. Price was around 10ish for a meal which isn't bad considering the neighborhood. For dessert I had the tempura green tea ice cream and boy was it worth it. It taste like zeppoles on the outside and cold green tea in the center. Worth every dime and I'm glad I ordered it because it was to die for. (****)

The service was decent, but I didn't like how they gave us the check when we didn't ask for it. I mean you have $3 drinks, I don't think anyone would want to leave. (***)

OK, This place would have gotten three stars if their service wasn't so bad. It took 30-40 minutes for the waitress to bring us menus, and there wasn't even a rush, the restaurant wasn't even full.

I met my friend up for lunch by her job and we stayed here because it was raining and we didn't want to get wet.

We both got the sushi lunch special (2 rolls for 8.75 + a soup or salad). I got the pepper tuna and spicy yellowtail, she got the spicy mango shrimp and spicy tuna. the fish was fresh. I had ahi tuna rolled in pepper in my roll. The rice for me was a bit grainy. and My friend's spicy mango shrimp was sweeter then it probably should have been. The miso was also a bit salty.

It was cheap, and for a quick bite to eat (they do have great lunch specials) it's not horrendous, but the service made me never want to come back.

Excellent food and service! I first discovered this restaurant years ago. I was surprised to find lunch menu prices to be very affordable, because from outside the place looks somewhat upscale. There used to be a free soup or salad with your lunch too. I get either Shrimp Pad Tai,  General Tso Chicken, or Cashew Sauce Shrimp, and they all taste their best. I usually eat at my desk, and get compliments on the way my lunch looks and smells. I pickup my food, can't comment on the delivery.

This is a solid place over all.

My friends and I ate dinner there this past Friday night and I was impressed with the way the staff, from the waiters to the host to the manager, dealt with five very rowdy and drunk women drinking back-to-back martinis.

In terms of food, I loved that they have boneless spare ribs on the menu because I don't often see that.  The sushi was very fresh - my friends and I shared the Dynamite and Godzilla rolls.  We also shared Pad Thai, dumplings of some sort and spicy beef.  The serving sizes were very generous and the quality of the food was really good.  I loved that we were able to order Thai, Chinese and Japanese food from the same place!

I enjoyed the food so much that I ordered take-out the next night - I even ordered two of the same dishes - the Dynamite Roll and the boneless spare ribs.  My "go-to" take-out sushi place just closed down and I am pretty certain I found its replacement.  Too bad, they don't deliver the $3.00 martinis....

All day $4.00 martinis for ladies-- really, does it get any better?!

I worked a block away from this place and never saw it until I was walking by on my way to the doctor. All I needed to see was the sign that had $4.00 noted on it. Any deal in that area is worth looking at.

I've been back a couple of times and have never been disappointed. The drinks are delicious! The pomegranate martini is by far my fav!

The brown rice with steamed vegetables with the sauce on the side is a must try. The appetizers are ALL yummy!

The service is good too and you never have to wait long.

TRULY MY FAVORITE RESTAURANT IN THIS AREA!

Enjoyed a delicious lunch special of lemon chicken with fried rice and scallion pancakes for $7; great service, helpful servers...what more can a hungry visitor ask for?

Sooooo.....$3 martini's all day for ladies. Nuff said!!
The food is good, above average Chinese, I haven't tried a Thai dish yet. The sushi is good. Never ever get they calamari though, it's horrible. Service and ambiance are both great. The bartender is really nice, I work around the corner so I have been going there after work for the $3 martini's often. Great spot, good food and great drinks!

Tried for the first time during our last visit to NYC.  The place wasn't crowded, service was really good and food came out fast.  The sushi was decently priced, and the entrĂ©e was very good.  Had the general tso's chicken and girlfriend had thai patter.

Trespass to market their menu. Every restaurant does this but East Pacific is the worst offender I've seen! Broke in two doors to deliver 200+ flyers in a building of 10.

This is a Chinese-run Pan Asian restaurant serving Chinese, Japanese, and Thai food.  The Chinese food here is good quality. However, avoid their Japanese and Thai food. Like many other Chinese-run places that offer these cuisines, the food does not taste authentic, uses incorrect ingredients, and is simply below average. I tried the pad thai from here and the flavor was completely off (very bland).

East Pacific Asian Cuisine is a decent Pan Asian restaurant located in a supremely convenient location near the southeast corner of Park Avenue and 34th Street. Their menu is a combination of Chinese, Thai and Japanese cuisines. The dining room is separated into two equally-sized sections, with the one in the back providing more privacy for larger parties. I mainly come here for the Japanese cuisine which is fairly good Chinese-style Japanese sushi and maki rolls. Food is reasonably priced here with basic rolls averaging $4.75 to $6.50. The facier rolls are usually $9 and above.

I've also had Chinese food here and the quality is slightly below Chinatown standards, but adjusted for midtown, (i.e. duck sauce, smaller portions). Price again a very reasonable for midtown ranging from $10 to $18. I have yet to have the Thai food.

On a side note during my most recent visit, if you are coming here with a http://Restaurant.com certificate, don't bother coming because the manager wouldn't accept it after first making excuses about the expiration date (which wasn't valid because certificates don't expire, unless they opt out of the program). I didn't bother arguing, so I left it at that.  Aside from that experience, service is fairly quick and attentive.

Ordered delivery via Seamless at 12:48pm Today &  was given a 20-35 minute wait time (fine.)

....it's now 2:15pm and counting and I have yet to receive my very basic order.

By the time the food gets here I will be starved to death so won't ever be able to judge if the food is good or not..my own hand looks good at this point. #justsayin

    ** LATEST UPDATE:**
I waited another full hour after I called to check on the status of my order.
it's 2:41pm and am finally about to eat my food..but completely disgusted.

Turns out in those 2 HOURS they also couldn't supply me with any chopsticks for my sushi, a spoon for my soup OR a few napkins. Way to GO.

Never again...And I will be sure to share this post with all of my contacts, my Yelpers, Facebook and Twitter account. Never Again, East Pacific.

    And not even an apology.

I love this place!!! I live in Murray Hill and couldn't ask for a better neighborhood asian restaurant.  I usually get delivery since it's so fast and convenient, but sometimes I eat there too and the service is always great.

The Chinese food is consistently excellent, high quality, not too greasy, and the sushi happens to be the best I've found in the area as well.

Highly recommend--you can't go wrong with East Pacific.

For a spot on Park Avenue, you can't beat a $3 drink special... Choose between Pomegranite, lychee, and mango martinis and for $3 during happy hour, you can get yourself a nice buzz going.
The Food menu is standard asian cuisine. Fried rice. Sushi. Pad Thai. Etc. I decided to get the sushi combo since it was the biggest bang for my buck. $12.95 for eel avocado roll, spicy tuna roll, and a california roll, PLUS soup and salad. It was a hearty dish! Perfect for soaking up all those martinis.
I was 3 martini's in and the staff were so accomodating. Everyone was everywhere as I finished a glass, i turned my head, it was gone and replaced with a fresh one. They are courteous here and made for an effortless happy  hour.
If you are looking for a great place to toss a few back before 8pm, this is your place!

Stumbling up the block from Blockheads (due to the heatwave, not intoxication) my companions and I spy a sign that says $3 martinis for ladies. Believing it to be a mirage, we almost kept walking. However, we quickly came to out senses and stepped inside.

The bottomline: $3 martinis, 3 flavors. I had the mango... did the job. Super friendly bartender.

I was hesistant about writing a review (a.k.a. sharing the wealth), but I'm trying to get my karma right.

Went here for happy hour and dinner on Friday night.  Food was good, as was the service.  They have a great happy hour special with $3 select martinis and other mixed drinks.  I'm not a big sushi guy, but was with friends who are and they loved the food. Would go back.
