Green Gourmet Market--another specialty food store

Ha...for some reason when I saw this place I remembered that snatch of song from the Eagles' "Hotel California"-- "this could be heaven or this could be hell"--

Seriously, I doubt it is as drastic as all that. But let's see what people have to say...

Well, I am unhappy there are so few reviews...but with small places like this sometimes I guess you can't count on a lot of Yelp listings

This is an awesome little market that has a deli as well. You can get sandwiches, burgers, salads, and a number of pre-made pastas, salads, and sandwiches. I get a veggie burger here and the guy treats it like a 5 star restaurant. He makes it so delicately and with great care. And its only $3.99 for a veggie burger with lettuce, tomato, and onion.

Convenient little market that offers most of the essentials - prepared foods, a good assortment of beverages, packaged goods and dairy, though not too much produce.  Some of the prepared items are really good - the dips and some of the couscous dishes are a staple in my house (and fairly well-priced).  They usually have a nice array of fresh flowers as well.  The people who work here are very friendly to boot.

I've been coming here for years. They're a great neighborhood market/bakery/deli/flower shop with all the essentials you need in convenient pre-packaged containers for you to pick up and go, averaging 5-7 bucks. They've got hot food items in the back- soups, baked fish, pasta dishes, grilled veggies, meatloaf, eggplant parm, and cold items- salads (veg and non veg), variety of hummus, boiled eggs. For the salads, I really like the variety of vegetable combinations, like the beet and apple with walnuts, the spinach tabouli, corn veggie salad, just a to name a few. The pasta dishes include tortellini and ravioli and they don't skimp on the pesto, again a huge deal at just 5-6 bucks, and it'll last you. Many options, all great and affordable since the portion sizes will last you a while. The desserts are overpriced in my opinion but overall you can find something in there that will appeal to you. They even have a decent selection of gourmet cheeses and assorted breads and crackers to go with. Staff is courteous and quick.
