Burberry Name Atop Classic Tower in Midtown...with time and temperature at top, a little hard to read in rain

Pouring rain makes it a little difficult to read time and temperature at top of tower...but you can sure read name "Burberry" OK. Guess that's the point.

That reminds me...I don't hear much about London Fog or Burberry that much any more. There was a time when it seemed every adult male with pretensions to being middle class had a raincoat or a trench coat from one of those two places.

Let me see if I can find something on Burberry, and keep it short.

Burberry Group plc is a British luxury fashion house, distributing clothing and fashion accessories and licensing fragrances. Its distinctive tartan pattern has become one of its most widely copied trademarks. Burberry is most famous for its trench coat, which was designed by founder Thomas Burberry.[3] The company has branded stores and franchises around the world and also sells through concessions in third-party stores. Queen Elizabeth II and the Prince of Wales have granted the company Royal Warrants. The Chief Creative Officer is Christopher Bailey. The company is listed on the London Stock Exchange and is a constituent of the FTSE 100 Index.
According to a 2009 report released by Business Weekly, Burberry was the 98th most valuable brand in the world that year.[4][5]

I can also tell you they founded firm in 1856 and it has made special military items...origin of trench coat, I had always thought.

Sorry if you expected more but feel free to go Google more for yourself...
