Hummus is very popular in NY now as a healthy food.Used to be a Tibetan restaurant here that was something of a landmark because the owner actually got the city to apprehend the man who was defacing his north wall (which had a painted mural) with political posters.
Guy they arrested turned out to be a city employee, which was no surprise.
