Went to Modell's sporting goods on 42nd Street to get a free weight to use to exercise my right wrist, which still needs work--even though fracture was ages ago.Oh, how full of contrasts the center of Manhattan is!
From classic skyscrapers along 42nd Street, then to garish rental signs on buildings, --and suddenly, a vest pocket park which is like a mini-stonehenge. (Fountain isn't running yet...this will be a very beckoning place for weary pedestrians in the summer),
And then the Astro gems and minerals etc. store on 34th Street with its fascinating window displays...
All this and so much more packed into such a small area.
