At approximately 9:14pm on February 11, 2017, Officers with the Glenn Heights Police Department responded to a vehicle Jack fire located in the drive-thru lane of the Jack in the Box restaurant, located at 1703 S. Beckley Rd. Upon arrival, officers observed a Ford truck engulfed in flames dangerously close to the structure. An officer was able to successfully move the vehicle away from the structure utilizing his patrol vehicle and no injuries were reported.
02-11-2017, Box 50-01: 45 South 5th Street in the city, at approximately 22:55, Shamokin Fire Bureau was dispatched for a reported apartment building fire. Calls to Northumberland County 911 reporting a fire in apartment #4. Deputy Chief Jeffery arrived about 2 minutes later reporting large apartment building smoking showing from the third floor, a second alarm was then transmitted.
Tuesday night firefighters were dispatched to Rockdale Road in North Whitehall for a reported structure fire. While enroute do to numerous calls a 2nd alarm was transmitted. Once on scene crews had a fully involved structure and requested multiple tankers to assist with water supply and put master streams in service.
Just last night, Niki Rasor pitched her company Firefighter Turnout Bags (FFTOB on FB)on Shark Tank asking for $250k investment for 33% of her company. In the end, Nikki would receive two offers for deals. She ends up choosing a 50% stake in her company for $250k.
Ok, I admit that I haven't read them all....and some are picture books, others fiction, and yet some are simply leadership books and are not catered towards firefighters. However, this list of books includes many which are revered as the most important for firefighters to read and others are personal favorites of myself and other readers.
