Lawrence Kreger --

Last November, my office hosted a special event for people from all over our community to discuss their concerns about the new presidential administration. Unfortunately, it seems as though all of our fears are coming to fruition. So far we have seen this president introduce several harmful executive orders, target immigrants, and appoint the least diverse cabinet in thirty years. Unfortunately this is just the beginning.

To build on the amazing conversation we had last fall, my office is putting together another event for the community to discuss what President Trump has done so far, what he might do next, and most importantly, what we can do about it. Helping to lead our discussion will be representatives from the New York Civil Liberties UnionPlanned Parenthood NYC, the Muslim Community NetworkMake the Road, the Mayor's Office of Immigrant AffairsColumbia University, the Community Service Society, WE ACT, and more. We will discuss a range of issues impacted by the new administration, including:
  • Changes to Immigration Policy;
  • The Future of Healthcare;
  • Women's and LGBTQ rights;
  • Climate Change and Scott Pruitt as Head of the EPA;
  • and how these new policies will impact the Muslim and Jewish Communities
I hope you'll join us on March 2nd. Click the flyers below to RSVP to this upcoming event.
