Help us preserve Fort Jay’s eagle sculpture by voting for Governors Island to win a grant from the National Trust for Historic Preservation. The $245,000 grant would help us restore the iconic eagle and stabilize its deteriorating surfaces. Celebrate the birth of our country by voting every day until July 5th!  VOTE HERE

Euro 2016 Viewing Parties
June 24th - July 10th

The Euro Cup 2016 is heating up as it heads into the quarterfinals this weekend.Spontaneous Interventions (S.I.) will be showing UEFA Euro 2016 soccer matches as well as NYC FC matches. There will also be a bubble soccer tournament on the Parade Ground, so be sure to sign uphere. Tournament viewing schedule here.

2016 Gala Recap

Over 400 guests attended the Friends of Governors Island Gala: Picnic in the Clouds, on June 22nd. Honoring L. Jay Cross and Gale A. Brewer, the Gala was the most successful to date, raising more than $680,000 to support Governors Island! Check out some of the photos from the night here.
